This is really hard, as I really have no idea how I would handle quadriplegia. Some people are still able to lead great lives, while others get severely depressed and kill themselves.

I'll have to pick the quadriplegia because I think it's the noble choice, and I like to think of myself as a noble person.

Now picture doing that eleven more times. You can only mask smells for so long. After another month or two you'd have to start buying ointments. And then you got another nine months to go.

Kill. Pushing the guilt down would be very tough, but you could also warp the situation in your mind where you could get over it relatively quickly. Another wrinkle that has to be considered though is the societal impact. Sure, you're not punished legally, but congrats you're now the OJ of your town! Then you'd have to have the thickest skin imaginable (good luck zwack), or you have to upend your entire life and your family's life. That last part would probably still happen if you suddenly became a quadriplegic, so still going with kill.
