Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
Catching up now - to be honest "Supergirl" has hands down been the best of the DC shows so far this year. This and "Arrow" are dragging a bit for me.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
Don't watch Supergirl or Arrow, but Flash is definitely in a rut so far this season.

I think Flash has rebounded bigly from its sophomore slump.

I REALLY like where they're going with Snow. And I'm VERY curious to see what they're doing with Tom Felton.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
Yes it seems Caitlyn getting her powers isn't connected to Alchemy which I like.
But is the budget for this season cut in half? Effects are really bad. And they might as well cut MOTW in episodes like these. The shadow guy was a complete afterthought.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
?! They've always been kinda hit and miss with the effects. But they mostly hit. The hologram creature was some of the best effects the show has ever done. Even the Magenta episode was decent, effects-wise.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
Now that was a crossover episode even though they kind of cheated with that team vs. team battle at the end . After that really disappointing episode from yesterday I didn't know what to expect from tonight's, but it was pretty awesome. As far as effects go it looked good enough for a tv show, although you can never compare it to the big screen. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was the best episode out of the whole crossover event.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
So far the crossover has been great, although the SG ep wasn't really a crossover, but I would've been pissed if they just eschewed all the SG stuff just to get to the crossover.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
I was bored by the crossover. Too many characters and there really was no reason why The Flash couldn't battle the aliens alone. They didn't show any superiority whatsoever. The episode was rushed as hell.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
Of course they're not.
But do try to be objective here and see that it's really pathetic plotting having a single character say - oh you won't be able to fight them yourself and our hero just takes it for face value. Especially when before the same thing has been said on the show and Flash proved them otherwise. And during the fight they didn't show anything more dangerous than the previous enemies Flash went against. Hence - the episode was rushed, with plot points that served only to speed things up and accommodate gazillion characters and in the end it made not much sense. I won't bother with SG, Arrow or Legends episode probably. So it's a pathetic crossover as it demands a viewer to see shows he/she might not care at all.

Do I have to watch Arrow this week too? Really the only show, it seems, that you don't have to watch is Supergirl due to the VERY short screentime, that is then included in the Flash episode. But yes, you'll have to watch Arrow.

I've enjoyed the last couple of episodes, but Gorilla City has me pretty hyped, because of GROD. Too bad we have to wait two weeks though.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
Finally caught up. I was getting "Iris is gonna die" vibes even before Barry went to the future. Everyone is always telling Barry there are consequences to messing with time, yet he keeps doing it anyways.

Also how many more Harrison Wells' are we gonna have? They just keep writing him out and writing him in! The show has been stuck in a rut for a while now.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
I love the Grodd stuff.
Also, regarding the time travel. The first time Barry did it, it was an accident. The 2nd time he did it, he didn't change anything because he told himself not to. The only time he really changed things was Flashpoint. And when he went into the future, that was also an accident.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
Are we all pretty much in agreement that Savitar is... Barry, in the future? It seems almost too obvious. Also, this show feels like it's been stuck in a creative rut for a while. Whatever magic they had in season 1 is just not really there anymore for me.

I've been saying for a while now that they've just been going around in circles and repeating the same main storyline over and over again.

I stopped watching earlier this season. I may pick it up again when it hits Netflix. It just got too muddled and confusing for me.

Re: The FLASH TV Series Thread
While creatively it's stuck in a rut, the character relationships are still strong. Very into the current Wally story.
