Amazon's latest drama series premiered on Friday with a first season of ten episodes. The series regulars in season 1 include Genevieve Angelson, Anna Camp, Erin Darke, Hunter Parrish, Chris Diamantopoulos and Joy Bryant. Grace Gummer, Frankie Shaw and Jim Belushi have multi-episode guest arcs.

Just watched the entirety of the first season in the past two days. It's really enjoyable and entertaining, with a great and socially relevant message. Genevieve Angelson is going to be a star, she has a magnetic screen presence. I also highly enjoyed Erin Darke, and I've always been a fan of Anna Camp who really shines in the back half of the season. The finale had quite a few surprising twists as well. It's a bit of "Mad Men"-lite, but definitely worth checking out.

I love Anna Camp, but the marketing for this show has bugged me. Pre-release every bit of it compared the show to Mad Men. But then once the mediocre reviews came out it was all "don't expect mad Men cause we are own thing."

They're honestly very similar. This show clearly draws from it a lot, particularly the Peggy character.
