The biggest loser this year is the Diary Room. Aside from Da'Vonne, every single player sounds scripted in there. They should eliminate it entirely because if they aren't expressing their real, honest emotions without jazzing up the dialogue, I don't want to have my time wasted on them.

The drama this season has been kind of amazing, and these people are messy and the gameplay has been a trainwreck for the most part. There are certainly no Derrick or Vanessa mastermind types in this season, even if Paulie likes to constantly (CONSTANTLY) insinuate that Tiffany is the same person as her sister.

I love Day but there's no way in hell she's winning or coming close, assuming she survives this week.

The biggest disappointment this season has been Nicole. I liked her in her original season but I absolutely cannot stand her whiny entitlement this year. Not to mention her boring showmance with Definitely Not Gay Corey, which is the equivalent of a mayonnaise sandwich on Wonder bread.

The only people I really like on a personal level are James and Natalie.

I get that about Nicole. It seems like she whines more and more each episode. But I still like her.

I find these special episodes (Battleback, Double Eviction) always present worst case scenario. Tiffany evicted, then Victor goes back. Waste of a revival. He's too instinctual. There's nothing subtle about him. He won't play well or play smart, and he'll probably be afforded a week of safety by those who will try to work with him, but I don't see him being a threat to win.

It felt weird seeing Glenn again. When I first saw him tonight, I honestly thought for a second he was from Big Brother Canada.

I really think if Paul can not be first few weeks Paul, he has a shot to win. Outside of Z, Da, Victor and Frank, I could see almost anyone else winning.

Post Re: Big Brother 18
I'm actually as close as I've ever been to giving up on a season. I don't see a final three that doesn't include the Grodner Golden Boys (Paulie and Paul), and I'm repulsed by both equally. The boys banding together against those nefarious gals is sickening. Corey and Victor are just playing Paulie's game at this point. They all are. It's his to lose. And none of the girls are strong enough or smart enough to do anything.

-Nicole's game relies on others and now that the tide is shifting, she'll be gone soon.

-Zakiyah is a joke. How many times does Paulie have to treat you like garbage?

-I love Natalie and she's my favorite with James, but her best bet was the last HOH challenge.

-Michelle is actually difficult to watch. Each season seems to boast an entirely useless player and she's BB18's designated winner (loser).

-Bridgette is the closest we have, and that's not saying anything for her.

I can't even properly rank these people. I only like Natalie, James and Bridgette. The rest take turns grating on my nerves.

(Keep in mind, I am not following spoilers, so I'm only up to date on Sunday's show.)

And apparently, Big Brother 19 is a go for this fall on CBS All Access? Who will actually watch that? I hope they don't actually include it as official Big Brother.

Me too. This season is a horror show. It's like a repeat of BB16 with Paulie running the game and nearly everyone else being a mindless minion who do nothing to try to usurp him.

Losing Tiffany, Frank and Day back to back killed any momentum the season had.

The only person I really like is Natalie, and she definitely has some good strategic insights, but she's not going to be able to go much further because she's surrounded by duds.

Someone other than PPV needs to win during the double eviction and get one of those three out.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss the mess that was Aaryn. That was such a memorable mess of a season.

This season is sooo predictable. I think James is the only one that can pull something off to avoid P/P in the final 2. It's very clear to the house that those two are running the show now so I expect they will be separated sometime.

Post Re: Big Brother 18
Major house developments this morning.

It sounds like there's a real chance for a random new alliance to sprout and for a counterattack against Paulie to get launched! Natalie is leading the charge and Paul seems to have turned against him.

Please let this happen. I would forgive this season for sucking so far if Z gets booted and Paulie, Nicole and Corey get blindsided.

It's basically like the Exterminators from BB15 2.0: a sub-alliance of the plebians (Natalie, James, Bridgette, Paul, Michelle) forming to get rid of the dictator.

Quote:
5:50 AM BBT: Natalie told James that Paulie is planning on putting her up next to Zakiyah. Natalie explained to James that he’s the one who wants to go with the house and if they go with the house right now to keep Zakiyah, she’ll be going home next week. Natalie told James that Paulie has been planting seeds in the ear’s of the couples to go after the singles and planting seeds in the ear’s of the singles to go after the couples so that Paulie wouldn’t have to get any of the blood on his own hands.

Bridgette joined them in the storage room, asking if James was down to save Michelle and asked what happened. Natalie told her that they’re down and ready to make big moves. James told Bridgette that they’re going to need Victor locked in on ready to join them. James told them that they can’t save Michelle, but crap is going to hit the fan. Natalie told him that crap already has hit the fan because Paulie is telling the singles to put her up with Zakiyah. James told her that they should tell Zakiyah to start some drama between her and Paulie. James added that they might need to publicly call Paulie out on how he’s making deals with everyone.

6:10 PM BBT: Paulie told Paul that he’s going to be gunning for HOH this week so that he can put up a combination of Nicole, Natalie, or Zakiyah.

6:30 PM BBT: Natalie and Bridgette told Paul that everyone in the house is getting boned. James jumped in, backing up the girls and saying that he’s being told a lot of crap from a credible source. James told Paul that Paulie is wanting to get the girls to him up alongside Victor. James went on to explain all the different final four and final three deals that Paulie has made, all varying by which person Paulie was talking to at the time. Paul told Bridgette, James, and Natalie that if they have the balls to flip, they could save Michelle, but they’d be screwed if one person backed out. James reminded Paul of his power to cancel out two votes and said that America gave him this power for a reason.

Natalie told Bridgette how Paulie was the one who convinced James to put her up with Bridgette. Paul told Bridgette that Paulie was acting like he wanted Frank out that week, but later tried saving him and sending her out instead. Paul told Natalie he’s hearing that she is fake flirting with James just to help her game. Natalie told them that she’s genuinely likes James enough to consider marrying him in the future. Paul asked James if he’s willing to go against his deal with Paulie, Corey, and Nicole to do this, to which James said that he was.

Paul told James that he should cancel his vote along with Corey’s, then Paul can play dumb and act like the girls conspired against them. Paul asked who they’re going to target during the double eviction. James suggested Paulie and Corey, but Paul told him that it should be Paulie and Nicole.

8:00 AM BBT: Natalie told Paul that she wasn’t going to put him up, but was going to put up Paulie and either Corey or Nicole. Natalie added that James is in on the plan, they’re in on the plan, and there is no going back now. Natalie told Paul to not let Paulie brainwash him, to which Paul said that he’s not an idiot. Natalie told Paul about all the comments Paulie made about her, from saying she was wife material to talking about her butt. Paul told her that she should tell Zakiyah. Natalie told Michelle and Paul that them three and James are best friends now, they’re ride or die. Natalie added that they must get Paulie, Nicole, and Corey out. Paul told them that they should put Corey and Nicole up, if one of them win veto or a nominee pulls themselves off, they could put Paulie up. Paul explained that if Corey and Nicole both do survive, they’ll just become the new Bridgette and Frank by isolating themselves. Natalie told them that they’re going to need to work as a group moving forward or else they’re going to get picked off.

9:20 AM BBT: Michelle told Natalie that her and Bridgette are the best and said that she’s never going to forget what they did for her. Natalie told her to get ready to shake things and cause there is no more crying, they’re just going to crush. Paul rejoined them, telling them that he’ll blow Paulie’s crap up too if he has to. Natalie agreed, saying that they can’t be scared anymore.

When the alternative is Z hanging all over Paulie's D for the umpteenth week in a row, I'll take it.

The house blew up last night. Paulie said some disgusting things to Natalie, and the entire house is now firmly anti-Paulie except Corey and Nicole.

This shit's getting good.

Thank god. This season could maybe be salvaged.

CBS renewed Big Brother for its 19th and 20th editions over the next two seasons. As much as I've hated this season (and don't have memorable feelings for last season), I'll keep coming back.

This also means that fall edition on CBS All Access won't count as an official season.

OK I may have spoken too soon. Victor won HOH again and Paul is EXTREMELY gung ho about getting Paulie or Corey out this week.

I take back every mean thing I ever said about Paul.

The irony is if Paulie had saved Z, he might have had better numbers to stay longer.

The last 48 hours have been good. I have to give kudos to Victor who clearly learned from his mistakes earlier in the season.

So Paulie's chances for winning have gone to nil as there's know way he can make it there since Michelle/Natalie/James won't support him, and it looks like Cory/Nicole were on the bottom of the totem pole of every alliance.

Nicole got "supersafety" this week so can't be nominated. So it looks like Paulie/Cory will go in the next two weeks. Nicole probably won't last too much longer after that.

That leaves 5. James/Natalie will be broken up as a couple after Corey/Nicole are. James is very strong in competitions so I can see Victor/Paul getting him out.

Michelle is too emotional to win the game though she could be an obvious bring her to the finals choice. That leaves Paul, Victor, and Natalie as a potential final 3. I don't see Victor getting it considering he was brought back into the house. Natalie also hasn't played a strong enough game.

So I'll go with Paul winning the game. He knew when he leave P/P and I'd say is the frontrunner to win.

Oh and an interesting bit of trivia for the next care package, it's a co-HOH where someone else gets to choose one of the nominees.

I've taken a look at many of the forums and Michelle is DOMINATING. 48% of the vote on one I saw, 18% for Paul in second. Last place is Paulie.

If Paulie gets the co-HOH, we know the game is rigged.

Michelle went from being useless in the game to being the catalyst for making the season interesting. On the block two weeks in a row and lasted. Ruined Paulie's game completely and turned the house against him. Set in motion to have Paulie nominated by Victor on his alliance. And now the following week she could possibly be a co-HOH? Not bad considering how emotional she is. :funny: She seems well on her way to get fav houseguest from viewers if Davonne doesn't get it.

Post Re: Big Brother 18
I'm trying to think of a more repulsive, smug person to play Big Brother than Paulie. I know there has been, but he's the perfect storm of asshole. He's a pretty boy and has treated women like objects for much of his life because he knows he can. His diary rooms are chock-full of arrogance. He thinks every line he delivers is golden. He so desperately wants to be the Derrick of this season rather than the Cody. His smirking through speeches by Michelle on Thursday proves he has no remorse for anything he's said or done in that house.

Paulie Calafiore is the quintessential meathead jock bro archetype. He surrounds himself with the same toxic people that would gladly slap him on the back and pump their fists in unison at his shenanigans. But the brilliance of this game is that they do a decent job at rounding up different personalities, so now he has nowhere to go and nowhere to hide from these people. He doesn't have a circle of bros to run away with. I'm hoping he doesn't win veto and doesn't have the Round Trip ticket, although we all know one of those will happen.

I just want to see him squirm. Let reality slap him back to Earth. Actions have consequences. You can't rely on looks forever. Charm does not survive without humility.

Meech hit the nail on the head explaining Paulie's implosion to him: he tried to play a Derrick-like cult leader/stealth mastermind game (and he was obviously coached beforehand by Derrick), but he got so arrogant that he thought people would never compare notes OR question the fact that he got his way every time.

I have several misgivings about Derrick from BB16 (namely the way he basically ruined the season's entertainment value with his gameplay quashing any and all conflict), but you can't deny he played a superb game and knew when to lay low. Paulie has none of his subtlety, and it's blowing up in his face.
