She has played the victim with Kanye, valid, and with exes, maybe less valid. But every artist that writes heartbreak songs plays the victim.

She's a little calculating but she was trying to be nice to a dude who's been an asshole to her (Kanye), who then called her a bitch on his song without asking and secretly filmed and released their private conversation. Whatever thirstiness Taylor is guilty of, Kanye and Kim K are the real assholes and narcissistic snakes

I feel like Kanye and Kim look a lot worse here. The whole thing is obviously an orchestration to take down someone who's huge, just to boost their own credibility since no one takes The Kardashians + Kanye seriously.

I'm not sure on the whole story. Did Taylor and Kanye basically discuss him using her name in a song, only to have Kanye call her "that bitch" in the song, which she didn't approve of at all? If so, it's pretty unfair to shit on Taylor for this one if she condemned the song afterwards.

Also, can we put a fucking moratorium on the use of the phrase "breaking the internet"?

- Kanye releases Famous which has "I think me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous"
- Taylor and her publicists were upset that they didn't have the lyrics run by her, as they portrayed a misogynistic message
- Kim K releases the snapchat videos with Taylor and Kanye talking about the lyric... so the immediate social media reaction is Taylor had been lying and calling her a snake. However after her IG post it became more clear that only the first half of the lyric was discussed. So Taylor was not being a liar by saying Kanye didn't run the misogynistic lyrics past her, although I think her publicists made it sounds like the whole thing wasn't discussed with her, which was a mistake. Also Taylor knew about the letter a while ago and her lawyer sent a letter asking to destroy it

I'm sorry but I still live in a world where recording someone without their knowledge is wrong and that those in the wrong should be viewed as pariahs, not as saviors against the dreaded evil mastermind that is the Queen of Heartbreak Songs.

It's crazy how people are siding with Kanye on this one. Taylor should never have denied any meeting, although I get why she did. OKing the "we could still have sex" line is a bit of a mark against her. Never should have agreed that it was OK. It objectifies her and that's against everything she stands for.

But why is there so much hate against her on this one? Why is no one commenting on how deeply and profoundly obsessed Kanye West is with Taylor Swift? I honestly feel like he thinks his 2009 VMA thing gave her a career and it eats at him that she became a huge star. But then to actually release a recording of their conversation as proof that it was all a lie on her part? And it's not like the video vindicates them. There was no discussion about calling her "that bitch". So not only is it morally shitty, but it's not even 100% true on his part either.

I spent way too much fucking time discussing this, but I guess that's what they all wanted today.

This is getting way too much attention, along with the "oh, look on Taylor's side!! Oh, look who's on Kim's side!!"... like for real? shut. up.

Taylor's next album is gonna be so huge lol. The whole "she's over!!!" hashtag is a joke.
