Except lead actress in drama, that award belongs to Viola and no one will take it from her.

Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series was hard for me. A lot of cut-at-the-last-second honorable mentions, including:

Paul Anderson in "Peaky Blinders"
Norbert Leo Butz in "Bloodline"
Hugh Dancy in "The Path"
Frank Dillane in "Fear the Walking Dead"
Christopher Eccleston in "The Leftovers"
Guillaume Gouix in "The Returned"
Burn Gorman in "Turn: Washington's Spies"
Rory Kinnear in "Penny Dreadful"
Rob James-Collier in "Downton Abbey"
Ray Romano in "Vinyl"
Chris Sullivan in "The Knick"
Martin Wallstrom in "Mr. Robot"

If we're going year to year, Jessica Jones wins just about everything.

For just 2016, Thrones and Venture Bros have been the best.

There are too many performances to make a list that I think are worth mentioning, but off the top of my head the people who should definitely be in the Emmy conversation this year are:

Regina King, "The Leftovers"
Christopher Eccleston, "The Leftovers"
Liv Tyler, "The Leftovers"
Krysten Ritter, "Jessica Jones"
David Tennant, "Jessica Jones"
Shiri Appleby, "unREAL"
Constance Zimmer, "unREAL"
Rami Malek, "Mr. Robot"
Kyle Chandler, "Bloodline"
Norbert Leo Butz, "Bloodline"
Lena Dunham, "Girls"
Allison Williams, "Girls"

Oh, and it will never happen because it isn't high profile, but Aya Cash gave one of the best performances of anyone on TV this season on "You're The Worst" and deserves an Emmy nomination.

Oh, is The Girlfriend Experience not going to return for another season? Shame. The first season plays well as a self-contained story, but I would enjoy more nonetheless.

Starz seemed to set it and Flesh and Bone adrift in a bit of a small-audience netherworld when both could have capitalized on the upscale female viewership they have garnered with Outlander.

It's a limited series, from what I understand if it returns it would follow another character and be a different storyline entirely.
