Will definitely go for a few seasons or so on there. More than it would have on CBS. Will they pair it with The Flash then? And will CW or CBS air reruns this summer? Very curious.

That's a good fit for it.

The CW renewed everything (except Containment) and added Supergirl, and looks like they're ordering new shows for the fall like usual. I wonder how they're planning to make this work schedule wise.

They've been aiming for rerun free scheduling as much as they possibly can. They've had more shows than their schedule can fit, that's why some shows have lower episode numbers so they could fit all in. Jane, Crazy-Ex, Reign could possibly get shorter orders and then swap as necessary (I read they have another romantic drama in works so they will pair it up with those shows for sure). Superhero shows will be regularly scheduled.

ABC has renewed The Real O'Neals, American Crime, and The Catch. In addition to Nashville, they've canceled Agent Carter and The Family.

I'm a little bit bummed about Nashville only because I've been a loyal viewer for 4 seasons. This season has been a complete mess though. I'm glad Connie finally gets to move onto something more interesting (hopefully).

ETA: LMAO, ABC also canceled Castle after making such a big stink about firing Stana Katic. Good going.

This season of "Nashville" has been a hot mess but I'm a little pissed because I've watched for so long that we won't get any resolution.

The "Castle" cancellation is hilarious.

"The Grinder" and "The Muppets" have also been cancelled.

Glad OUAT has better ratings than Castle and Nashville

Awesome about Real O'Neals being renewed. Fun show. They should air repeats with Wednesdays comedies this summer.

LOL @ Castle. I read just the other day that ABC wanted to keep another regular for season 9. #mess

But I do think that viewers deserve a proper ending after 8 seasons. They could've gone for a TV movie at least.

Yeah, they were prepared and are going to be airing the ending they would have planned on if it wasn't going forward next week, which ties up loose ends.

"Nashville" on the other hand is supposed to end with a massive cliffhanger.

It always sucks when a series ends withj a cliffhanger after 4-5 seasons. After two, I can understand, but after four or five or more, it is just unfair towards the fans. I still remember "Las Vegas"...

Then I'm glad fans are getting some kind of an ending. It will probably be badly rushed, but still.

Ugh, seriously? This is evidence that the Nashville writers haven't known what they were doing for a while now. Why would you write in a huge cliffhanger knowing your show is heavily on the bubble?

I've been a "fan" ("viewer" is probably a more accurate description) for the entire run of the show, but if it ends in a huge cliffhanger I'm just going to be pissed.

I'm a bit disappointed it was canceled because I feel like Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz could've turned things around creatively in season 5 as new showrunners.

I wonder if the production was still ongoing when the new showrunners have been announced. The writers might have taken that as a vote of confidence and written the cliffhanger based on that, hoping that ABC will continue.

Agreed. I think they would have given it more of a focus.

It could be bullshit though - remember when "Brothers & Sisters" claimed they were ending with a cliffhanger and the ending wrapped everything up?

Hayden's going back to rehab for postpartum so I feel like even in season 5 she would have had a reduced presence on the show - which would have sucked because she's been the best part for years.

They definitely did, which is why the cancellation is so weird. Even weirder is the "Castle" cancellation though after they made the huge fuss about Stana leaving and then renegotiating all the other actors.

I still hate them for canceling that and "Happy Endings" - I'll never be over it ;)

MTV has cancelled "Faking It" after three seasons. Apparently the season finale next week could also double as a series ender though - the creator thinks fans will be satisfied.

Also, Netflix is renewing "Flaked" for a second season pending some contract negotiations.

The long line of great ABC comedies that they unceremoniously canceled...Suburgatory, Trophy Wife, Happy Endings, Don't Trust the B---, Cougar Town if it hadn't jumped to TBS, etc. It's enough to make you weep.
