Re: Northeast Snow Storm Heh, that map pretty much covers what it was like today and the worst is still to come. If people would stop freaking the fuck out... it wouldn't be that bad. Today's initial snowfall, ~2/3 inches, gridlocked traffic for the 5 hours I was out. And it's still a mess out there, I'm sure. This weekend will be quite miserable. Also, re: the pic Chippy posted in the first post: I left my work conference at 8:30 pm (so, LONG after rush hour should be over)...it took me over an hour to drive 2 miles home. This is D.C roads on one inch of snow. My co-worker normally has a 45 minute commute and it took him almost 4 hours...leaving the same time as me (8:30-9 pmish). Goodbye, world.

Re: Northeast Snow Storm It's stopped here, and right before a beautiful sunset. Pretty much 2 feet of snow or so on average.
I don't live near downtown, thankfully, but from the pictures I've seen and messages I've received, the town has become a very large playground. Since pretty much every street or road is a hill, people have turned the area into a ski resort. And with the university closed until Monday afternoon, it'll stay that way through the weekend.
Reportedly, everything was closed today except for gas stations, liquor stores (of course), and restaurants along emergency vehicle routes.

Re: Northeast Snow Storm We had about 24 in. I had to work a game on Sunday though which was little tough getting out, but the plows did a great job. Major roads were fine.
