Post A Sin City Breakdown - Notice it is Rated R.
SIN CITY

Domestic Total as of Apr. 7, 2005: $36,608,243 (Estimate)
Distributor: Dimension Release Date: April 1, 2005
Running Time: 2 hrs. 5 min.
MPAA Rating: R
Production Budget: $40 million - Almost made this budget back already.
Est. Marketing Costs: N/A

**************************************************

As I haven't seen one mention of this in the threads that I read.

- This R rated violent comic book movie isn't going to bring in the general adult audience. Like the Matrix/others did.

- And aren't the under 18 crowds locked out of this movie so for the most case - they are SNEAKING IN TO IT.

**************************************************

And a side note - with that 40 million production budget - guess the bigger actors took points over salary on this movie.

Kids with access to credit really don't need to sneak into anything anymore.

You can buy tickets over Fandango or the like, they never check at the ticket counter.

Actually they never check in my area when you are buying a ticket at all.

addr0ck is right. There's really no need to "sneak in" anymore. Credit cards. If you use a credit card, print your tickets at the kiosk, and go inside, the usher won't give it a second thought. It's that easy.

Sorry Mav, Haven't got to it as lots of extra work in April so I haven't covered the whole site. Maybe I will look for it over the rest of the weekend.

Also please let me know when you write your promised review of the 1968 version of Planet of the Apes - thats one that I am waiting and looking forward to.

And even though I do see the credit card angle.

I wonder how much sneaking in happens at movies generally.

I don't think "sneaking into movies" are that big.

I mean, I know people do it, but it's not, like, more than 5% of audiences, of course. And with credit cards, the money still goes to the movie.
