Narcos (Netflix)
This series, based on the true story of the notorious Medellín cartel, debuts on Netflix on August 28th. It is co-produced by acclaimed Brazilian director José Padilha (Elite Squad: The Enemy Within, RoboCop).

The story's been told so many times already by now, and this doesn't look to be a special take on it. Some shots look really good, but I'll be passing on this because of the lack of star power.

I'm on the fourth episode. It is very good and well acted. If you love Traffic, Blow and Scarface, you should enjoy the show

I love it. Nearly perfectly blends an almost documentary-level amount of information (connections, dates, names, political motivations, etc.) with Scorsese-style pacing and visual flair.

I'm not sure I'm fully on board with the writing/characters, but the pilot is one of the best directed things on TV in years for me. Same guy who directed the Robocop remake, might inspire me to watch that

The trailer reminds me too much of the Entourage spoof trailer.
Is it really any good? The director of the Robocop remake does not inspire me.

I absolutely love it. Completely electrifying and fascinating from start to finish. I particularly love how detailed and fastidious it is in its inclusion of journalistic detail, in a Zodiac type of way.

I binged this in two days and enjoyed every minute of it. Wagner Moura is great as Escobar and the guy from GOT is solid aswell. I really wish he was the lead instead of Boyd Holbrook who I think is a pretty bland actor. The production design/set pieces are also very well done, especially for a Netflix show. I'm down for a Season 2.

Skip Robocop. Watch the far superior Elite Squad: The Enemy Within instead.

I hated reading the above given my love for detail driven films like Zodiac. I thought it would never meet expectations. Thankfully I was wrong.
One episode in and im absolutely loving this. Exceptionally well made, heavily detailed yet extremely entertaining. Brilliant!

Season two is completely on par with the excellent first. It instantly and crisply re-submerges you in the milieu and investigation. Riveting.

Season 2 is great and does indeed match the first season's exceptional quality.
It will be interesting to see how season 3 fairs with the numerous faces of the Cali Cartel replacing Moura's charismatic portrayal of Escobar as the focus of the authorities.
