You need to get your history right, David. Hong Kong as a political entity has a longer history than the current Chinese regime. So who is the overlord?

There is a real need to act on the parallel trading problem between the borders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_trading_in_Hong_Kong). Stricter customs enforcement, cutting down on multiple-entry visas, land arrival duties are some of the solutions.

Don't believe everything you see in the video. I would guess that this is not being enforced and people are not being reprimanded. But for the video, of course, China looks to be hitting them head on. I am sure the "police man" in the video is either fake or being bribed. In short, it is still going on.

That would be bad. Can't they see that this is a health concern and a trust issue? It's just not sustainable.

Ignorance is very high here. The only thing that matters is money. Seriously. It's incredible how dangerous and outright indecent the Chinese people can be in the hunt for money.

But this does not make any economic sense still. The people doing this were betting they wouldn't get caught. But they were running a big risk. This was all over the news there (if my source is correct). People would know where to find the source of food poisoning, which should be highly likely given where the oil was from. And who would ever dine out again?

People will always eat out. Like I said, money is all that matters. If a Chinese person can get a meal for 12 RMB at a cheap restaurant that possibly uses gutter oil or dine at a 50 RMB restaurant that definitely does not use gutter oil, they'll choose the former. Then when they get ill and have to pay a few thousand RMB in medical bills, they'll not remember the cause.

That's disgusting.

I don't know where you got that from. The clip was from a foreign news channel, not Chinese. And I've not heard of it in talking with people or on any Chinese news site.

Chinese girls aren't great. They are pretty simple and can be arrogant little rich bitches, but most are sweet and just wanting to be loved and looked after. I have a great more deal of respect for them than I do for Chinese males, who are simply repulsive. The chasm between the two is astonishing. Chinese men are rude, loud, dirty, smelly, have foul dental hygiene, have no manners, no social etiquette, no decency whatsoever, and to top it off they are insecure as hell which fuels their inferiority complex and resulting slave-like control over women (no wonder Chinese girls would rather go with a foreign guy if they could). They spit in the street in plain sight, they throw their litter where ever they are standing at the time of finishing their food, they pick their nose in plain sight and flick it (same with their earwax), they sneeze and cough into open air (no use of a hand ever), many of them don't wash their hands after taking a shit or a pee (very few use ONLY water, NEVER soap), they all sit down in public on the floor like monkeys in their shitting position, and they just urinate and defecate in public as and when they need to. Utterly vulgar creatures.

The thought of these pieces of shit being allowed to create more than one child quite simply makes me feel sorry for Americans and Europeans, because that's where these dirty Chinese will flock to.
