Re: "Glee" Thread
The first half of the season premiere actually was pretty good. It feels like it's been forever since this show was on so the time jump at the beginning made sense. The musical numbers were solid and actually fit with the plot and I kind of liked how downbeat everything was I hope this show is able to go out with some semblance of dignity (and that the ratings aren't as unspeakably awful as they were last year). I'll watch the second half shortly.

Re: "Glee" Thread
Second episode was great! Loved the "Problem" and "Tightrope" numbers and "Take On Me" was cute. It actually felt like an old-school episode with all the originals back. And they did a good job of actually making me like the new characters, something they never succeeded with with the season 4 character intros (it's hilarious to me how all of them but Kitty were completely written off, by the way).
Hopefully this show goes out on a high note like "The OC" did and its last season is awesome.

I actually really enjoyed both episodes as well.

I can't believe I used to watch this show. It has been shitty ever since the Sue Sylvester's sister's funeral episode at the end of Season 2.

Re: "Glee" Thread
The third season had quite a few good/great episodes in it, even though quite a large chunk of it was crap. Seasons 4 and 5 were bad but incredibly entertaining.
The first two episodes of this season were really, really good. Hopefully this goes out with a bang.

Re: "Glee" Thread
It hasn't ever been great like it was in season 1, but for the most part I think the show has at least remained consistently entertaining (aside from some horrible episodes). I'll miss it when it's gone, and this was a really strong start.

The show's been an absolute chore to sit through the last two years, but I thought the premiere was quite good.

I quit midway through season 4. I just wasn't interested at all.

You know, you just told me it was good. So I told you I still wasn't watching it. I don't need your sass.

The premiere was actually not bad. It took almost every single viewer this show has ever had totally abandoning it for it to get watchable again. Go figure.

Third episode was really good. Dot-Marie Jones was great and I liked all the songs.

LOL So much for that good streak. Horrible episode last night. Sue's character doesn't make any semblance of sense anymore.

Re: "Glee" Thread
I tuned out of about 75% of the last episode. Absolutely atrocious.

Re: "Glee" Thread
The last episode of this show was probably the worst episode Glee has ever produced. Or, frankly, one of the worst episodes ANY SHOW has produced. I don't even know what to say. Jigsaw Sue Sylvester, guys.
OK, I guess to be fair, the two-parter was better than the infamous shooting episode. That's all I got.
Just a few more weeks to get through, I keep telling myself. WE'VE ALMOST MADE IT.

I thought yesterday's (2/13/15) episode was good, for the most part. I loved how they stuck it to VA. It is always nice to see bullies get their comeuppance and it is nice to see Will back with the New Directions. thompsoncory wrote: LOL So much for that good streak. Horrible episode last night. Or, at least have her character's personality be more consistent, and less plot-driven. She basically behaves however the plot wants her to behave. Part of my problem with it, is that Ryan Murphy and co. can be occasionally great with the big human character moments in Glee (Popular was the same way). Then they pretty much go back to the shock and awe plot-driven satire storylines. I would like to see Ryan Murphy do a more character-driven show. One that doesn't change the character's personality to suit the plot.

Re: "Glee" Thread
Considering I was expecting last night's episode to be offensive it really wasn't that bad, and for the first time I think they actually did a good job with selling Rachel and Sam to me as a romantic pairing. I still loathe Unique though - I'm pissed they brought her back

Re: "Glee" Thread
The end of Friday's episode made me super nostalgic with the intercutting of first season clips. Finale on Friday. I'll actually miss this show It was cheesy a lot of the time but there were some really great moments and performances throughout its run.
