Dayum. I was so good at OCtober and September. But my optimism is coming back to bite me in the butt. Not one film released this month will meet my lofty expectations. oh well.

Dang, that came up quick this time. We don't usually predict January movies, but this year, the releases seem to be above par enough to warrant it.

You should see one in the next 7 days!

Hopefully I stay in the top 10. I really blew it in November. Hopefully all of December but Exodus overperforms. Though I'm totally fucked with Unbroken, Annie and The Interview.

Damn, for all the shittalk I've been throwing at Exodus, I need it to make more than $88.5m to get points off it.

I thought my $109m prediction was low, but there are 5 posters who predicted sub $100m!

Post Re: KJ's Fall 2014 Box Office Contest - Updated Standings 12
Annie
supaprince $97m
David $95m
SolC9 $85m
Magnus $80m
Jonathan $75m
Crux $66m
moviegeek151 $66m
Biggestgeekever $65m
Star Lord $63m
Omni $63m
jennacasey $60m
BK $58m
matatonio $54m

Hmmm...I would need it to severely disappoint to end up in a range I can score points. It can't make more than $66.5m...

Night at the Museum 3
Rev $155m
MadGez $150m
Vanilla $145m
Chippy $143m
Corpse $138m
matatonio $130m
Biggestgeekever $130m
scoobydelite $128m
SolC9 $125m
jennacasey $125m
Flava'd $124m
BK $123m
Price $120m
Omni $118m
zwackerm $118m
Magnus $110m
Cowboy from Hell $102m
Jonathan $100m
Kiruvi $53m

If it makes more than $133m, no points for me...or if it makes less than $88m.

Hobbit 3
BK $318m
SolC9 $310m
scoobydelite $297m
supaprince $297m
Omni $297m
MadGez $293m
zwackerm $284m
Star Lord $273m

Easy one here as I am the highest predictor. If it makes less than $295.5m I don't get any points. Yikes. Come on Middle Earth!

I've heard chatter about Unbroken from all the Jews I know. That is what they are choosing to see on Christmas. Maybe it can still do 100 million with meh reviews.

Quick, we have to predict Big Eyes or The Gambler before The Interview is pulled. ;)

MGKC, any idea yet how you are going to deal with The Interview? If it comes out in, say, 40 theatres and also becomes available on demand, will the points just go to those with the lowest predictions? I s'pose this is the only way to go.
