"The Good Wife" (Season 6)
The best show on TV is almost back!
I've become completely obsessed with this show. I've rewatched episodes all the time this summer. I can't wait for its return in a few weeks. Season 5 was the absolute best even though it traumatized me with episode 15

The premiere was so good. The scenes between Eli and his daughter were absolutely hysterical.

I wonder how long Cary will be in prison. I really wouldn't put it past the Kings to have it be, like, the entire season.

I saw the season premiere yesterday and it was VERY well-written and acted. I don't know why but I saw it coming that Cary was going to be arrested. This is going to be an interesting season.

OMG the second episode. That scene of Diane, Taye Diggs and all the associates leaving LGC was amazing. And Cary/Alicia's hug.
Also, I love Robyn. She's become one of my favorite characters. I hope Kalinda coming over to Florrick-Agos doesn't spell the end for her.

A wonderful article by Emily Nussbaum at The New Yorker about this show's unparallelled smarts and evolving nature.

LOL at Alicia fawning over Gloria Steinem.
I don't want Alicia to run!

Also, Castro is the worst. I wanted to punch him in the face when he mentioned Will to Alicia - her response to it was badass as hell.

OMG this episode was soooooo good. I'm not sure I've ever laughed harder at this show than Alicia finding out about the parade of skeletons in her closet, while Grace's church choir (and Dancing Tutor Girl!) hover in the background. And more of Darkness at Noon!
Also, the ending with Bishop. I love how often this show is an examination of moral compromise.

Archie Panjabi is leaving at the end of the season:
Sad but I'm not too surprised. They better give her a good exit and have some resolution to the Alicia/Kalinda tension.

I'm a little behind, but I just watched episode 4 and oh my god, this was one of the funniest episodes ever. The opening 15 minutes were pure gold between the church choir in the background and all of the secrets coming out. And that "Talking Dead" spoof was everything.

The last scene of Sunday's episode
Also can they make Eli's daughter a regular? She's seriously become one of my favorite side characters.

Alicia going off on David Hyde Pierce at the end of last night's episode was everything. That scene was amazing.
Also, poor Cary. I hate Castro so much - I'm glad Finn ended up leaving. And Bishop is such an idiot OMG.

Julianna slayed everyone and everything once again. Her fury at David Hyde Pierce was on point.
I have never wanted to be Kalinda Sharma more than when Cary looked at her with puppy dog bedroom eyes and texted "I miss you." Ugh, I have such a crush on Matt Czuchry.

The campaign videos tonight were hilarious. And oh my god they need to make Sarah Steele a regular. I LOVE her.
Also Alicia gave me life tonight with her "zip up your pants, shut your mouth and stop banging the help."

Yes to all of this. Also, Alicia and Finn? I'm OK with it.
Also, I was so anxious during all of Cary's scenes. They're doing a masterful job with the looming specter of Lemond Bishop.

Re: "The Good Wife" (Season 6)
I'm starting to get frustrated with the Bishop plotline mostly because I don't know what they're doing with it. He's being so fucking annoying for no reason and it feels like every episode lately the same 'woe-is-Cary' plotline develops. Cary should testify against him! I was so frustrated by that entire plotline last night, even though Matt Czuchry acted the hell out of it.
Julianne Moore and David Hyde Pierce's relationship is aces. I love how she constantly calls him out on his bullshit.

Yeah. Cary/Bishop plot is becoming weaker and weaker with each new episodes. They need to finish it already. This season overall has been slightly subpar IMHO. It's still a great show though.

I dunno, I had a different interpretation of all of this.
I think all of the things with Bishop are fantastic. It's been an incredible showcase for Matt Czuchry and I think, as usual, TGW writers are daring and audacious.
I don't really think David Hyde Pierce's character is full of shit either. One of the reasons I find the relationship between him and Alicia interesting is that Prady isn't a slimeball; in many ways, I think he's a better person than Alicia is, and that forces her to confront things about herself.
I actually watched "The Trial" twice because it was so well done.
