It appears Before i Go to Sleep is opening wide next weekend after all. It should be Clarius's biggest film ever, which says nothing.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't make as much as And So It Goes. It certainly had potential to but they dropped the ball on the advertising. Have they at least been running ads on TV this week for it?

I'll be very curious how the Saw re-release does.

It looks way better than And So It Goes. 6/17 seems reasonable.

I really think St. Vincent is going to be the go to movie for adults in the next few weeks. It may not open huge or anything but word of mouth is going to be fantastic. When I saw it today every single person stayed for the end credits and there was a huge round of applause after them.

I think that could have been reasonable for sure, but like I said they dropped the ball on advertising.

What advertising did you see for And So It Goes? If something that generic can open to 4 million, this movie, which looks much better, can do a bit better, IMO.

This is always subjective, but I saw a lot of TV spots for And So It Goes. I have seen none for Before I Go to Sleep.

And, honestly, I believe a romantic comedy with Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton may have more draw than a psychological suspense film with Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth. Mainstream audiences have often reacted rather coldly toward Kidman, and Firth is well outside his Mr. Darcy comfort zone here.

I saw none for And So It Goes, but I have seen one or two for Before I Go to Sleep.

Whatever. Its a disappointment for all involved whether it makes 5 million opening or total.

5 Million opening would be fine. It's all about expectations. And I haven't seen TV spots for Before either but I did see ads for And So It Goes.
