Post Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (October 24-26)
I believe I can see the future
Because I repeat the same routine
I think I used to have a purpose
And then again
That might have been a dream

I think I used to have a voice
Now I never make a sound
I just do what I've been told
I really don't want them to come around
Oh, no

Every day is exactly the same
Every day is exactly the same
There is no love here, and there is no pain
Every day is exactly the same

Showbuzz thinks St. Vincent is only releasing in 500 theaters. If that is true, I can't believe how badly Weinstein botched this release. I could have seen it approaching 85-90 million total, or even 100 million.

They're wrong. It's 2,000+.

It still could have opened with over 20 million in 2500 theaters right off the bat with a wide release.

It's in 2,282. Did they still "botch" it?

Yes. By not going immediately wide. I would be shocked if it grossed over 10 million after a 10,000 avg. in 68 theaters.

I saw St. Vincent at 7:20. Nearly sold out in a mid-sized auditorium. The trailers shown were for Big Eyes, Dumb and Dumber To, The Imitation Game, Into the Woods, The Theory of Everything, and The Wedding Ringer.

John Wick next. Only around 15 people in a huge auditorium, but it is an 11pm showing.

Saw a 4:30 showing of Birdman. There was probably around 40 people in the theater. Trailers were Wild, A Most Violent Year and Nightcrawler.
