Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Yeah the teasers really caught my interest. Plus its based on the novels from Guillermo Del Toro so we should get some bad ass creepy looking vampires. I think the show could become the next The Walking Dead.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Corey Stoll makes me excited about this. Ephraim is one the dullest lead characters I've ever read, but Stoll is too good of an actor to be that boring.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
The pilot was good, but could have been better if it wasn't for the cliche and "twist". Still, the acting is solid, and the story feels unique/fresh.
There is room for improvement.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Does anyone know if this will be on Hulu Plus being that FX is a Fox network?

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I have this DVR-ed and will watch it this week.
Will probably be a DVR series for me as I can't stand how FX constantly drags their shows out to 11:09PM or 11:27PM and such.

I really hate how FX does this schedule. I rather have them air it from 9:45 just to fill in that extra 15 minutes.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
It's infuriating - it's just a tactic to add in more commercials since the episodes aren't honestly much longer than 43 minutes anyway, and it makes it really annoying to DVR even. I bought the season passes of "The Americans" and "Fargo" on iTunes just so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
The dialogue was very bad and corny but I did enjoy the pilot very much. I think I'll treat this like American Horror Story, At least the show is still better than the summer shows they offered this year. I'm talking about Leftovers and Penny Dreadful.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I definitely enjoyed it. I adore the direct horror and suspense elements, and it became more and more riveting as it went along. Loved the Neil Diamond morgue scene.
The personal drama (He Is a Renegade Genius at His Job, But Too Distracted and Guarded with His Wife and Son) is very perfunctory and bland, however.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
The first two episodes are a bit meh so far. The concept is pretty bland I think. Summer shows this year have been mediocre.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I feel the writing is a little corny and crappy but as for the horror aspect of the show I find some scenes to be chilling and effective. I'm definitely liking it so far and looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Your loss. It's pretty good. And it's very creepy. Kinda cheesy, but whatever.

I like it. It's certainly better than "The Walking Dead." I'll keep watching.
