With other contemporary TV shows like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones being re-edited to look like they existed before their time, Jesse England thought he'd try joining in on this trend with this video.

Re: What If The Simpsons Existed In The 90's?
That was without a doubt the most pointless thing I've ever watched on the Internet, since The Simpsons did exist in the '90s. Brilliant video!

I believe the point of the Simpson video to mock the recent video trends of using current shows and setting them with a 90s style opening theme. They usually involve showing the tape wear effect, a cheesy power ballad, and the the name credits always showing the character in happier moments.

Too meta for Libs.

I can understand someone quibbling with the quality of this particular parody, but I found the concept itself just hilarious.
Libs is blocked on my account, but I don't believe even she didn't get this clever little joke.
shut the fuck up zwackerm, you're out of your fucking element

I was referring to the tehsil palace and small town. Alot.

I'm kind of torn, it's a nice joke, but I hardly find it that clever and I tend to agree with Libs. I think it has more to do with the fact that I think this guy got his decades mixed up. That's more 80s style music and type of show, the music especially is more like the type you'd see on Reading Rainbow on PBS.

I don't think he can read or see your message.
I only have 3 people on my blocked list: Jeff, Jon, and Libs.

The guy did not get his decades mixed up. The music fits in with the early 90s kids programming. I think you missed the point of the video. It was a parody of someone who thinks that all 90s tv themes are cheesy. Either that or to troll folks like you.

Jeff? I think it's safe to stick your head out on that one. He's long gone.

I get it, but he clearly says 1995. Clearly you didn't grow up in the 90s. If he was going for early morning kids programming he should have made it more action packed like X-Men, Batman, TMNT, Ducktales, instead of like Family Ties or the facts of life.

I don't understand why you would block any poster. Sure, I know the idea behind it, but there really is no point, especially when you're just going to be clicking the 'see post' button every time you see it anyway.

This may seem a foreign concept to you, but in the same way that I can trust myself not to read reviews before seeing movies, I can trust myself not to click to see a blocked post.
