Now THESE are awesome nominees.

Maybe the best I've ever seen. Though I find it odd that both leads from Bates Motel get noms... but the show misses.

The Good Wife is gonna claw its way back into the Drama Series nominees at the Emmys at this rate. Or at least it better.

I don't think it will claw its way. It's gonna sit there comfortably. Should be show #3 or #4 in strength IMHO.

Is Fargo a miniseries?

No love for Downton Abbey.

It's a miniseries in the same way "American Horror Story" is a miniseries. Future seasons will revolve around a different storyline and characters.

But apparently in a different way than "True Detective", which future seasons will revolve around a different storyline and characters.

"True Detective" being considered a drama is blatant category fraud ;)

True Detective as drama (as it will be at the Emmys) is just balls, nothing more. They want to fuck with Breaking Bad's run.

Which is immensely stupid. I don't think it stands a chance against the final "Breaking Bad" season. McConaughey and the series walking away empty-handed will be the result. "True Detective" deserves better.

I see BB taking Drama but McConaughey will take Actor.

This is for the Emmys. I'm not sure what these Broadcast Television Critics awards are but I assume they're a shameless attempt to make up for what the Emmys will nominate year after year.

I think it will get both. Cranston in his final turn as Walter White? Can't pass up on that, right? Especially since he was at the top of his game. BTW, how did Cranston lose to Jeff fucking Daniels again?

I wonder if the Emmys will snub Dean Norris as well...

Dean Norris will likely miss. Shame really because after the first episode of the last season, I fully expected a win. Aaron Paul will be the only supporting male nominee. Which is fine, he deserves to win as well.

The Emmys are tricky because they rarely go for final seasons. Look at Steve Carell. Everyone assumed he would finally win for his final season, and they went instead for a Jim Parsons repeat.

They do, but they're still regarded as the highest honor in television. These smaller awards, while fun, hold little water. Saying you're an Emmy winning actor has more weight than saying you're a Broadcast Television Critics Award winner.

I don't think either carries any weight. Because TV.

Well, d'uh. You could maybe make the case for the Golden Globes, though...
