Yeah I imagine there were many people that didn't know who he was. From what I heard, the guy was an asshole on set and then wanted a larger salary so they hired someone else.

I prefer the new Daario to the old one.
Overall solid episode. It's really all a build up to the all kinds of awesome in Ep2.

The premiere was fine, but there's a lot of subplots on the show I semi-check out on, until the Lannisters come back on

Why are they still showing Winterfell in the credits? We haven't seen Winterfell in almost two years. Tyrion needs to get his ass up there and be a proper lord.

Martin better hurry up with his book. They are already airing material from book 5 for the Ironborn stuff. Seems like the showrunners are building up Ramsey to be the top villian of the show now that Joffrey is gone.

That was a great!! I am going to miss Jack G.'s acting as Joffrey. Really did an excellent job throughout.

What a great episode, and I am so glad he is gone. I am not sure if it is cruel, but I chuckled during his death scene, was glad to see him suffer, and his bitch of a mother crying.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Tyrion and Sansa had a pretty good wedding by comparison.
This was a great episode Loras Tyrell. He had the best burn, in an episode full of burns, and the biggest laugh when he was caught staring at Oberyn. Though Jack Gleeson has to be MVP for making the most of his last moments on screen. They're trying to build up Ramsay as a replacement, but it won't be the same. A child was just murdered on TV, and nobody will shed any tears. That is Joffrey Baratheon's legacy.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Ramsey will just be a temporary replacement. Really the true replacement later should be Euron, he is a pschyopath who is trying to steal Dany's dragons and conquer Westeros .

and yeah, they seem to be progressing the Ramsay part more this season closer to book 5. So it seems very likely that they can get through books 4/5 at the most 2 seasons, meaning book 6 would cover season 6 (which would air in 2017). That would mean GRRM needs to have book 6 done by 2017, which seems highly unlikely given that book 6 isnt coming out until 2015 (or later at this rate). I am assuming you mean book 7. I am not sure what they will do about that. They could make two seasons out of 6, depending if 6 is like Sword of Storms and not the latter two books. He needs to finish the series because I am afraid he will die like Robert Jordan.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Haven't watched the episode yet but can't wait.
The show isn't waiting for GRRM to pull his finger out - they'll finish before the final book.
I see them doing the following:
Season 5 (2015) - Finish off both Feast and Dance Season 6 (2016) - Winds of Winter Season 7 Part 1 (2017) - Finish off Winds of Winter and start A Dream of Spring Season 7 Part 2 (2018) - Finish off A Dream of Spring
2015 will hopefully (maybe wishful thinking!!) see Winds of Winter - so at least it will come out before the season it will be featured in airs.
It would give GRRM 3 years to finish A Dream of Spring before the story is finished on TV - which really is doable but unlikely due to the time he spends on other projects.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Well remember that Asha/Yara is coming to rescue Theon, which never happened in the book. The show has the luxury of showing events from any characters perspective, not just the POV characters. This leads to a lot of different options when it comes to finishing the story, and also why the books will be interesting even if we know whats going to happen. Also In the books the Moat Cailin stuff happens after the Kingsmoot. They're just speeding that up to give Theon something to do. Next year will focus heavily on the Ironborn since a good chunk of the King's Landing cast will be offed or exiled this year.

It's all stuff from A DANCE WITH DRAGONS. Not all of it, there is still the big plot thing about . I also don't see Asha succeeding in rescuing Theon since there he is rescued by Mance Rayder in the book, and I can't see changing that, as it matters too much to the assault on Winterfell

I think they're advancing that plot further, which will mean they won't cover everything. Hell, I'm not even sure if the whole Kingsmoot will happen in the show. If the producers are planning to make the show 7 seaons, I think A lot of A Feast for Crows is going to be cut out for sure. They probably don't need to show the Kingsmoot Euron could just come in and take power once Balon dies. They can't cut Euron out since he is being built up to be very important in the next two books.

They can cut most of Feast For Crows, actually all they need form FFC is Cersei's storyline.

While the Dorne stuff isn't the most interesting stuff in the books, Oberyn's story from A Storm of Swords would kind of end up with a dull thud if the effect it has on his brother, niece and daughters is just completely left out. Plus, all of Prince Doran political scheming involving first Daenerys and later Aegon feels like it could end up being too big a plot point to cut entirely.
