Although the last episode indicated to me that they should really just dump Laurel and have Felicity as the main female character. I don't really have anything against Katie Cassidy but Laurel is terminally uninteresting. Dropping Laurel would be dumb since Laurel becomes Black Canary.

I mean, I get that they wouldn't really get rid of her (mostly because she's too engrained in the story), but...meh. Felicity is so much better. lol

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
Yeah I mean they need to get her and Arrow back together because she is a weak character ATM.
Still yeah this show has stayed quite good and is the great follow-up I needed to fill the void left by Smallville ending.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
Another solid episode. I think I'll enjoy Colton Haynes as Roy Harper, I'm glad that they didn't just go with the sad sob story, and made him... kind of a jerk, but kind of a likeable one.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
The flashbacks on this show suck and are boring. They need to go.
The rest continues to be surprisingly solid with good performances across the board.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
This show has been really good for the past few episodes (already saw tonight's because Hulu Plus posted it early - watched it this morning). The flashbacks have become semi-interesting and I like Colton Haynes's character. Also the stakes are definitely being raised for an awesome finale. Tonight's episode has a lot of Dark Knight/Joker similarities.
I'd argue this is a better show than Revenge right now.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
I'm still quite enjoying this show. Definitely the best new series of the season, which isn't something I thought I'd say back in September (you snooze, you lose, Nashville).
But the previous episode was probably the low point of the season. The scene in the last episode that had Moira sobbing and literally having blood on her hands was sort of comical in its on-the-noseness. And the less said about the Laurel and family storyline, the better. And hearing Alex Kingston use an American accent was bizarre.
But I still really like it! I agree they're setting up the season's endgame well.
Also, I preemptively ship Oliver and Felicity.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
This show The past two episodes have been great. I think it's the best new drama on broadcast networks this year (or certainly the most consistent).

I really liked last night's episode. So glad Emily Bett Rickards has been made a regular for season 2, Felicity is my favorite character.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
Did anyone else yell at the TV in disappointment that dumb ol' Laurel was saved in order for Tommy to die instead? *shakes fist in rage at sky*
No, but really. Tommy went from the show's worst character to like the most interesting one, so that's sad. And Colin Donnell is really pretty so I'll miss that too.
Also, the difference in the quality of Stephen Amell's acting from the pilot to the finale is pretty staggering. He grew into the role so much.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
Say what you will about The CW as a network, but they don't really skimp when it comes to visual effects, etc. Last night's finale was great and very cinematic.
Also I agree with the assessment about Stephen Amell. His last scene with Tommy was actually pretty sad and well-acted on his part.
Excited for next season!

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
Fantastic finale to what turned out to be a much better show than I had anticipated before it started. The production value on this show is great, which makes me frown at (the much larger and Disney-owned) ABC and their completely pathetic special effects, lame action scenes and lacking cinematic appeal of OUAT.
Looking forward to next season, and seeing characters like Roy and Felicity developed further.

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
Great finale, loved the last shot of the camera rising to show the carnage in the Glades. I agree that Stephen Amell really became "The Hood" as the season progressed.
I'm also glad Tommy died, the guy was a real dick - never liked him anyway. Looking forward to season 2!

 Re: Arrow (Season 1)
Just finished the first season and hooooooooly shit about that finale. They really made no prisoners. This show really stepped up a lot during the season and I agree about Stephen Amell getting better with each episode. Fantastic show, totally caught me by surprise. Also, the fights on this show are like the best ever on TV.
