Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
I was trying to put together all of Frozen's album sales figures. 4 non-consecutive weeks at #1
Week 11) 88,000 -6% 10) 94,000 +1% 9) 93,000 +7% 8) 87000 -45% 7) 165,000 +55% 6) 106,000 +31% 5) 81,000 +92% 4) 42,000
3) 56,000 +10% ? 2) 51,000? 1) ?
It has not sold fewer than 81,000 in a week since mid-December. Sales are at 952,000 this week, after 11 weeks in release. I was having trouble finding album sales for the first two weeks.

Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
"Let It Go" hanging around at #18. I still think it could've gone #1 if it wasn't for the Demi Lovato version confusing people.
Imagine Dragons blow, but I can see how they appeal to so many people. They and Mumford will battle it out for the Nickelback Presents: Worst Successful Band In The World Championship throughout the decade.
And "Talk Dirty" is a total ripoff of "Thrift Shop", but apparently nobody cares.

Nickelback is shit, Imagine Dragons and Mumford are far superior.

Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
New #1. With Happy being #1 on the Hot 100 and Frozen being the #1 album for the 5th week (the first film soundtrack to do so since Titanic), it's like we're in the 90s again with Best Song at the Oscars actually correlating with public opinion!
1. Pharrell Williams, "Happy" (up) 2. Katy Perry feat. Juicy J, "Dark Horse" (down) 3. Jason Derulo feat. 2 Chainz, "Talk Dirty" (flat) 4. John Legend, "All of Me" (up) 5. Beyonce feat. Jay-Z, "Drunk in Love" (flat) 6. Bastille, "Pompeii" (up) 7. Lorde, "Team" (up) 8. A Great Big World feat. Christina Aguilera, "Say Something" (down) 9. OneRepublic, "Counting Stars" (down) 10. Pitbull feat. Ke$ha, "Timber" (down)

Epic domination begins as Happy is selling x3 as much as Dark Horse.

Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
A viral video (that "strangers kiss for the first time" video I'm sure you've heard about) shoots a song into the top 10 this week.
1. Pharrell Williams, "Happy" (flat) 2. Katy Perry feat. Juicy J, "Dark Horse" (flat) 3. John Legend, "All of Me" (flat) 4. Jason Derulo feat. 2 Chainz, "Talk Dirty" (flat) 5. Bastille, "Pompeii" (flat) 6. Lorde, "Team" (flat) 7. OneRepublic, "Counting Stars" (up) 8. Beyonce feat. Jay-Z, "Drunk in Love" (down) 9. Soko, "We Might Be Dead Tomorrow" (new) 10. Aloe Blacc, "The Man" (up)

That song is two years old!
And I really wish people would stop playing the Jason Derulo song.
