And for HIMYM's 200th episode, they treated us to one of the very best episodes of the series. Le sigh. "La Vie en Rose." Perfect.

Yeah one of the best of the series easily. Just beautiful.

Of course, Carter & Bays surprise us and pulled the heartstrings tonight.

I'm not ready for the show to end in two months.

Now that we're really nearing the end, I'm getting the same feelings I got when Friends was about to end 10 years ago. Like, I knew it was time for it to go but didn't want to say goodbye...lol

That was such a sweet, sweet episode.

What I love the most of this episode is how it just showed us that had Ted and The Mother met earlier they wouldn't have make an awesome couple because The Mother wasn't ready to date at the time.

And pretty much makes this 200-episodes long ride understandable. Ted and The Mother needed to meet at the right time, when both of them were ready, otherwise it woulda been another Stella.

If the mother ends up being dead like "The Time Travelers" last season kind of foreshadowed it will be the most depressing ending to a television show ever Ted and the Mother NEED their happy ending damn it

Yeah I really hope it doesn't come to that. Though I've read stuff from last night's episode which only convince people more that it'll happen (particularly with how Future Ted says his last line in the 200th).

3.8 demo, 10.7 million viewers!

What kind of viewership do you all expect for the series finale? I'm thinkling maybe around 15-16 million viewers?

It would be great but I'm thinking more like 12-13 million. However, if the quality continues to be as great, if not even better than last night's episode, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go that high.

Definitely not that high...the series never reached that level in nine seasons. Probably 12-13 million viewers and a 4.5+ in the demo.

Maybe not that high, but at least 12mil viewers, which is enough to be a series high if I remember correctly.

I think the finale could definitely make a run for a series high at least in the demo (which I believe is a 5.1 from the night of Kutcher's first 2.5 Men).

In viewers, HIMYM's most-watched episode is at 12.3 million. I think the finale, if hyped up enough, should beat that, so I don' think 15 million is out of the question. I mean the series finale of "Friends" more than doubled the average viewership of the final season. Obviously HIMYM is not "Friends", but a 15 million viewers finale means just around 67% increase over last season's average ("Friends increased by around 130%).

Yeah it'll definitely beat 12.3M then if the 200th did just shy of 11M in finals.

Barney's storyline was filler and obviously just to keep his character in the episode. Rest was solid. I doubt Ted actually let the locket go. Might come back in the series finale (if certain theories about the mother are true) if not sooner.
