No no no. Him. He won. His second movie in a row getting acting nods in every category? That's HUGE.

He's gonna be the most wanted director in Hollywood by actors.

American Hustle. It got nominations in all four categories for Russell again and it also tied Gravity for most nominations. Personally I think it's going to have a slight edge over 12YAS going into Oscar night.

I'm gonna say Dallas Buyers Club.

Yes, Amerixan Hustle did great and getting noms in all acting categories again is GREAT, but it is not THAT much of a surprise. Many kinda sensed that it'd happen and none of the nominees this time is as surprising as Jacki Weaver.

Dallas Buyers Club got six nominations. Who the hell expected that a month ago?! Picture, Actor, Supporting Actor, Screenplay, Makeup (?) and Editing (???): It got an Editing nod over Nebraska or The Wolf of Wall Street. That is VERY strong.

David O. Russell movies have become a mighty actor vehicles. His next movie is starring DiCaprio. If he loses this year, could Russell finally lead him to a win?
