Dr Malcom wrote: Fox has cut the episode order from 22 to 18. There will be no new AD's in May, its 2nd season will be done by April 24. This is awful news and Fox had better not cancel AD or i will never watch Fox again. American Dad is taking over Arrested Development's timeslot starting May 1. One more reason not to watch American Dad, as if the unfunny wasn't reason enough already.
I believe Arrested Development also ended its run in April last season, and it (somehow) managed to survive.
Considering the Emmy win and (slightly) improved ratings, I would think Fox would give it at least one more chance/season.

Fox aired S1's finale in June though, that makes perfect sense!
Last season still had 22 eps though, and i want all the eps possible before it is cancelled because people are idiots and don't watch it.

Bad, bad news: FOX has pre-empted AD's Feb. 20 episode (Which was to feature Julia Louis-Dreyess' return) for a Simpsons repeat
I'm not feelin too good about a third season now.

Didn't one of the stars or producers or something say just a few days ago that this show was done? I seem to remember that tagline...

FEB 20's AD ep has been bumped, but on March 6 there will be 2 new AD's. The first at 830and the second at 9, they will be the 2 Julia Louis-Dreyfus ones. Then there are 6 new ones left for this season that will be done by April 24.
Fox seems pretty vocal that S3 will happen, but i don't know what to believe.

Wow, that was hilarious. Martin Short was so funny, i cannot believe how much i was laughing. When Dragon started shaking Uncle Jack and he started spitting up, i could not stop laughing. I had to control myself so i could hear the show. In the beginning when Lucille kept quoting with the drink in her hand, and then George-Michael and Tobias slip on what she spilled. I wish that we had more that 18 eps this season. I am REALLY looking forward to Maggie Lizer's return in 3 weeks, but 3 WEEKS!!!

Two new episodes, featuring the return of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, air tonight, as a reminder.

That was the funniest episode of television I've seen in a long time. I loved the housing reduction joke, take that Fox! Also loved the Family Guy popups and the Mission Accomplished banner. Not to mention Dan Castellanata as the doctor D'oh! and George Michael as the terrorist trainee/star wars kid. Practially the entire 22 minutes was gold.

 The 'Arrested Development' Thread
I'm pretty sure no one's made a thread for this show so far.
Anyways, I got the 1st season from blockbuster and have watched the first 3 episodes so far. I always suspected I'd love this show, and I'm glad I finally have the time to start watching it. Dammit, why couldn't it have better ratings? There's no way it'll make it past a third season.

Yep, we've got one already. I just have to find.
Will bump it up when I do.

Anways, to sum up my opinon of the first (and only) 3 episodes that I have watched on DVD:
F$&*ing awesome!!!
I always knew that I would like this show. Now I can spend all weekend happily laughing at Bluth and co.'s wacky antics in front of my TV.

It's such an amazing series. You have to watch the episodes a few times each (which, believe me, is not hard to do).

Just finished the 12th episode, as well as some of the behind the scenes featurettes. Apparently, Jeffrey Tambor (Who plays George Sr.) was only supposed to be a guest star in the pilot, and never seen again once his character was jailed. Thank God the creators changed their minds; his newfound religion makes him one of the best characters on the show.

Have you gotten to the episode yet where George Sr. tries to teach his kids lessons?
 It's a winner.

Well, I've finished the 1st season. I just love how the show took alot of "throwaway lines" from the first half of the season (George Sr.'s twin brother, the similarities between the Bluth house and Saddam's palace, Carl Weathers' stagefighting seminar, etc.) and turned them into plotlines for the second half. And all the supporting characters are great, especially Henry Winkler as the attorney and James Lipton as the new warden. Anyone know when Season 2 is out on DVD, because I can't wait much longer.
