Favorite film directed by Ben Stiller?
Among actors who direct, I find him interesting. He definitely has considerable talent as a stylist, and most of his films as a director have inspired a great deal of conversation, either becoming generational cult favorites or causing divisive reactions one would not expect from quote-unquote mainstream comedies (the grim and melancholy elements of The Cable Guy, the devil-may-care satiric depictions of mental health and race in Tropic Thunder). And, of course, his film celebrity status is predated by the underground popularity of the highly idiosyncratic Ben Stiller Show. So, yes, rate or rank his directorial oeuvre.

Re: Favorite film directed by Ben Stiller?
I'm actually shocked that Bradley didn't like the dark and quirky comedy of The Cable Guy.

Re: Favorite film directed by Ben Stiller?
I'm all for dark and quirky, but it needs the humor to back it up. Cable Guy just is very one note for me, with extremely bad performances by Broderick and Carrey. Zoolander handled that so much more.
Tropic Thunder, Reality Bites, and Zoolander are all As for me. Haven't seen Mitty yet. I'd put Cable Guy in the C range.

Stiller will never beat the brilliance he had with The Cable Guy, whether directing, producing, acting, writing, whatever.

The Cable Guy by far. Reality Bites second.
Can't stand Tropic Thunder (apart from Downey Jr)

Me being with a doubt and me posting it twice are not linked at all. Good try-oll.
