Anyone planning on watching the show? Its getting great reviews plus I think Liev Shrieber has been pretty awesome in most movies he has been in.

It looks like a less exciting version of Scandal with a dude. But I like Liev Schreiber.

^ I have to read up on this as I didn't this this was like Scandal. Based on the commercials, I thought Liev and Jon's characters were a real family or maybe a mob like family.

It wasn't very good. I like Liev Schrieber but this is as if someone told the Entourage people to cook up a cable drama. Absolutely no substance here and even the cable excesses aren't fun, except for a pretty novel wrist-breaking.

I couldn't get past the Boston accents, especially the wife's. Just fucking terrible.

And I didn't find the show to be very engaging. I'll give it a couple of more tries since it's on after Dexter, but I don't see it as something I'll stick with.

I started watching this on Showtime Anytime. I enjoy it a lot. I understand why it is not a huge 'round-the-water-cooler sensation because it is not THE smartest show on cable nor THE grandest nor THE most original, but it is a very engaging and muscular old-school crime drama. It nicely conjures a world of pulp-fiction sleaze and features a number of colorful performances. It has a nice Elmore Leonard type of vibe. Liev Schreiber is well-cast and a dynamic brooding antihero.

Mhm, I am kind of on the same page. I watched the first episode and wondered whether it will get more exciting or better and whether I should stick with it. I kinda just did and now I am up to episode 7. It is not great and it shows no signs of becoming great. But I don't know, for some reason I stuck with it and it goes down smoothly. Jon Voight is putting up one hell of a performance. I am starting to understand why he won the Golden Globe, though I still would have given it to Aaron Paul.

Finished the third season recently. I have come to see it as one of the more underrated dramas on television and all the Emmy and Golden Globe noms Schreiber has been getting for this are well-earned. A far more enjoyable show than, say, "Homeland" or "House of Cards" have turned out to be.
