I'm kinda sad they went for Michael. It would be awesome if they went for Malcolm. Luckily he has an idol too. Shit can still go down.

I really love Malcolm. Not only does he bring the pretty but he's funny and savvy. I would love to see him succeed only at the expense of the bro contingent, though. Reynold and Eddie just need to stop talking.

Agreed. I kinda like Eddie's little lisp but his mouth would look better with a dick in it.

This was Andrea's breakout episode this season. I wouldn't be shocked if she convinced Phillip to make that overly obvious speech at tribal to scare Malcolm into playing an idol. They had no idea they'd manage to flush out Reynold's too. She could also have totally lucked into that situation on accident, I dunno. But it worked out for her.

I don't think they flushed out Malcolm's idol, but they sure did flush out his betrayal with his alliance by him basically acknowledging that they were voting for him.

CRAZY episode strategy-wise. Loved it.

I still can't believe Malcolm convinced Reynold to play his own idol for Malcolm instead. It would have been the best episode ever if:
-they actually did vote for Malcolm (when was the last time a hidden immunity idol was played to its full potential instead??)
-Reynold got voted out after giving his idol away

Probably when Parvati whipped out two idols in Heroes vs. Villains and saved Jerri.

There was also the infamous occasion in Fiji (one of the only good parts of that crappy season) when The Four Horsemen's game was destroyed because Dreamz was stupid, but that happened because someone mistakenly played an idol when they shouldn't have and a different person was voted out.

There are so many things to consider with that last episode:

-Malcolm is only brilliant IF the plan had been to vote for him. I'm not sure if Phillip's slip was intentional (maybe he'll say it was, even if it wasn't). Since it wasn't, it made him an idiot... IF he had played his own idol. Instead, Reynold is an idiot for not assuming Malcolm had been playing him all along, got him to give him the idol, then voted him out... IF they had all actually voted for Reynold... when, in fact, the only person to vote Reynold was Malcolm...

Crazy.

I know I'm in the MAJOR minority, but I don't like Malcolm. Not with The Meathead Bros. If he had aligned with ANYONE else, I'd be fine.

Rooting for Cochran and Andrea and Dawn at this point. And Phillip for final four. Because, again, major minority... I love Phillip.

I'm not sure why Malcolm is in constant need of making big moves to further himself. He's now stuck his neck out THREE times (once last week with Corrine, twice this week: once by admitting distrust with his "alliance", then by voting with his "alliance" against Reynold) only to be burned. And now he's exposed himself as untrustworthy. Maybe he should've played the quieter, "win the individual immunities" game.

Oh and last night's tribal is only beat by last week's amazing blindside of the vile Corrinne.

More random thoughts:

-Cochran is playing a great game. Not that he didn't the last time, but he was up against bigger odds. He's likable to the tribe, unlike the first time when they regarded him as a plague.

-I'm still excited that Corinne is gone. I was sick of her "I'm keeping my gay!" stuff. What kind of game are you playing if you're aligned with someone only for their sexual orientation?

-Andrea remains the cutest Survivor ever. And playing a really good game so far. She'll likely overplay herself out of the game, sadly, but she earned her "Favorite" label, unlike quite a few of them.

-Dawn is another one I had trouble seeing as a Favorite, but she's doing well too. I hope she doesn't exit the game next week.

-I got nothing on Brenda or Erik. At least Erik I remember, though only because he still stands as one of the dumbest Survivors ever. I find it funny that they're portraying him as an alpha male. Even with Malcolm, Reynold and Eddie there, does he really earn that kind of label? Might as well say Cochran is too. But I am glad he didn't go with the Bros last week.

-Sherri is a non-entity. I appreciate that she came through last week to vote off Corinne, but she hardly had a choice. I have a weird feeling that if they get the guys out soon, she could sneak into Final Three. Eek. At least she'll get no votes.

-Hate Reynold and Eddie. They're not playing some masterful game or anything like they think they are. They're in the right place at the right time. And Reynold goes down so far with the dumbest move of the season, and we're already seeing a lot of dumb moves.

-I still say Phillip is playing a good game. He's getting under people's skin, but he's also still there. At some point people are going to realize, again, that he's automatic jury repellent.

I don't see how Phillip can be considered a good player when the object of the game is to win and will always have zero chances to win no matter how many times he plays.

I'm 100% for Cochran winning at this point. Dawn winning would be a nightmare, I fucking HATE her.

This game isn't designed for good players to win, so that's not a good argument against Phillip.

Honestly, he doesn't always have crazy things to say. And he was a lot better in challenges than I would have expected. I'm not saying he's the greatest player of the season or anything, but he's not doing poorly either.

I imagine it's a nightmare to be with him 24/7. But he entertains me 42 minutes a week.

Yes he was exceptional in the one where he couldn't run and even better in the one where he couldn't hook the keys.

Any argument is a good argument against Phillip. He is a fool of a person; arrogant and stupid in the extreme. Better in challenges?? Better than what? Who?

Behavior like his (or Brandon's) is not entertaining to me, it's annoying and frustrating and takes away from people that are actually interesting.

I covered my mouth with glee the entirety of that tribal council. Epic. I don't even care that it gave Reynold and Eddie room to be smug douches like usual. It was worth it for the joy it brought to my Survivor boyfriend Malcolm and the insanity of the tribe trying to whisper last minute clandestine plans while sitting next to each other.

And the best part of course, Phillip's annoying crazypants camera whore ass finally got voted out. It's a new dawn, it's a new day.

Speaking of a Dawn, she went...fairly crazy this episode. I think she's a really nice lady but I'm not sure the edit is indicating a win on the horizon. In other news, Brenda finally spoke and heroically flushed out Dawn's retainer. lol

Think I'm still rooting for Cochran to win this season. I've done such a turnaround on him from the first time he was on.

The previews for next week with the Bro Alliance's attempts to win Sherri over seem futile but I guess we'll see.

Really? Malcolm playing one idol and giving up his secret idol is kind of... really dumb. Yeah, it made for an exciting tribal, and the season overall is one of the best we've had in a long time, but ... strategically, he made an awful move. He had final eight guaranteed, which is huge on a game where time can be your best friend, and gave it up to keep his bro-mances alive. I know I'm hard on him, but that was an even worse decision than last week.

God bless Erik. I don't think they would've played their idols if he hadn't said "Hold up, why are we believing they'll play the idols?"

Anyway, I'm not upset to see Philip go. I maintain he played a good game, but I know he's a crazy person. He just entertained me. A lot.

I hope that ends the hidden idols for the season. I can't take that stress anymore. I assume based on next week's "OMG they're gonna get Sherri!" promo means one of the bros is getting voted off, I hope. I'm happy if literally anyone wins besides Reynolds and Eddie. And Sherri of course. But she's a non-entity.

Who I Want to Win:
1. Cochran
2. Andrea
3. Malcolm
4. Dawn
5-6. Erik/Brenda
7-8. Reynolds/Eddie
9. Sherri

Not sure I agree. Malcolm's double play kept his two allies in the game, fractured the Favorites alliance, and gives him the opportunity to try to work Sherri or Andrea or whoever. I'm not positive it will work out for him (I certainly think Reynold and/or Eddie might get the boot next), but waiting to use idols while his only allies get picked off does nothing for him in the long run.

It guarantees him at least final eight, though Malcolm the Mighty Individual Immunity Challenge Winner is going to start playing soon. The longer he had a hidden idol, the better. He saved a guy tonight that didn't need saving.

I get what you're saying. I just think keeping one idol safe was smarter for his game. Now he has none. It all depends on next week. If Reynolds or Eddie go, it was a bad move. If he gets a majority, kudos to him. Still a risky move.

He actually stated, "one of them doesn't have to use the idol," which was a tipoff to Malcolm to save the idol, because Erik was voting for Fillup, therefore Malcolm was safe. Malcolm should have picked up on that cue, but he was so busy basking in the absolute awesomeness of his Holy Trinity of immunity, he couldn't be bothered to decipher what Erik was really saying. He has been so clueless on the social interaction level, along with the dynamics of the favorite alliance. Dawn and Andrea are the real leaders, and it would have made more sense to take out Cochran or Dawn.

Awful gameplay, awesome tribal council.

I'm hoping Malcom, Eddie and Reynold manage to find someone to vote with them. I'm hoping Malcom can win this. He's the only one actually playing. Others are way too comfortable in the SRU pact. The season would be boring if not for Malcolm trying to make moves these past three tribals.

I would be happiest with a Cochran, Malcolm and Andrea final three, though that combo of people seems very unlikely.

Cochran would have the game in the bag if he dragged Dawn and Sherri to the end. I think Dawn probably would've been a serious threat to win the game early on, but she's burned too many people since.

Cochran all the way.

Malcolm was definitely smart to announce his idol playing at the beginning of TC. If their goal was to not get voted off AND be able to keep the 2 idols, I think the three should have announced they were each voting for a different person (Sherri, Brenda, Andrea), which would have definitely made those three nervous enough to flip and go against each other instead of keeping with the original plan.

That may not have worked either though, but either way, a fantastic episode. I enjoy Phillip in small doses, but it will be nice to have him gone too now.
