If I go with a network show you'll yell that Walking Dead is on AMC, so it's not a valid comparison. If I go with an HBO show (you know, Game of Thrones or True Blood), you'll say it's premium cable and "not even close to the same thing" (which it is; they just have it tougher because they're in less homes).

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3) Funny is that The Walking Dead was pitched to HBO but they turned it down. Quality wise it would have been better and treated closer to the source material

It can't go any higher than it has because of it being on cable. Now it might maintain those levels for another year or so, but it won't go any higher. I can think of other shows that went up faster 24 and Cheers both come to mind. They jumped from the bottom of the ratings to top 10 over the course of a few years.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3) I don't know. I kept thinking it would never go higher, but it's only went higher. And I think the show has been complained about since the start of Season 2, so I don't think any negative opinion of the season finale will affect it next year.
Also, Tyreese, Sasha and Beth will all be series regulars next year. If they develop Beth more, I think it would be fun to see a younger character on the show, aside from Psycho Carl. The show needs a scrappy character, rather than all of the alpha males and females.
Poor Melissa McBride. She'll never be a regular.
