Game of Thrones, though, has better source material. Martin is brilliant in writing amazing characters.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Yeah they are really different. They each have different strengths. However, I do think Walking Dead has too many episodes this season. They should cut the episodes back. They have more episodes than GOT an that would suffer as well if it had too many more episodes.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Pretty great episode.
I don't know they never just told Michonne about the Governor's request. She would've probably been all for turning herself in and having a chance to kill him.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Why did they even tell Merle in the first place? Idiotic.
I was kind of zoning out during this episode but Daryl finding Merle was A+.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
yeah the end was great. It is weird you feel sorry for Merle and at least he went out killing some of the Governor's men.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Great episode. The show has finally done what it has failed in the past which is to make a character's death have a great emotional impact and they used a despicable character like Meryl to do that.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
This slow build on The Governor as this deplorable villain has been awesome. He's easily one of the best villains on TV in the last ten years. I don't know what the finale will bring, but I hope they don't screw it up.
It was predictable that Merle was dying but the ending was fantastic. I just hope they didn't blow their load in the season's penultimate episode like last season and leave us with a mediocre ending.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I'd prefer a cliffhanger to last season's weak "This is no longer a democracy!" ending, which kind of went nowhere.

I wasn't pumped for the winter finale or the midseason premiere. But I'll be damned if I'm not pumped for tonight.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
What's more important, matty: a night with the potential love of your life, the future Mrs. Matty, the possible mother to your children, or The Walking Dead finale?
We'll see you at 9EST, sir.

It was ok, although the previous episode was better. I hated the left the whole governor thing unresolved.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I thought the finale was lame. Andrea got killed for nothing, looks like Merle did too.
The gun fight at Woodbury mid-season was better. Oh, and this "new character" was just someone at the Woodbury camp we hadn't seen or noticed.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Wow, was that a lame finale. It took Andrea something like eight hours to pick up a pair of fuckin' pliers.
Sort of loved Carl in it, though. I thought he'd gone full-on sociopath when he shot the kid, but his monologue to Rick about letting people live and it coming back to get others killed rang completely true.
Can Carl lead the group? Can Season 4 open with all of the new Woodsbury survivors dead as Carl holds a bloody shiv?

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I just plowed through every episode over the past couple of weeks just to get to tonight's episode. I didn't think there was a bad episode in the bunch. Tonight's finale was just flat out bad. Underwhelming, disappointing, and completely fucking baffling (yes, I understand the governor is completely evil, but was there any good reason he had for wiping out his entire army outside of the malicious music telling us that he would?). It'd make sense if he now just runs away and isn't heard from again, but I don't think the show could get away with that, especially after the tremendous hype that was in place for this episode.
And the show needs to go back to 13 episodes. There were too many filler episodes this season.
And, although I didn't hate her nearly as much as other people did, I'm glad Andrea is dead, and she deserved it after tonight.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Not a fan of last night's episode. All this hype for The Governor vs. Rick, and nothing happened. A failed attack? That's it?

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
That didn't seem like a finale at all. I know I always come out as hating the show but there was no payoff at all during that episode. I kept looking at the clock when there was 10 mins left and kept thinking how they were going to wrap up with confronting the governor but alas it didn't happen. The show seems to be strongest at its season premieres but end up disappointing when the midseason starts.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Why the fuck would they move/stay in the prison when they now have a fully fleshed out town to live in?
