Get the girl an HBO series or something.
I like how the utter floppage of Smash's return earlier in the week almost guaranteed Parenthood a renewal, and nonsense like Applegate's departure probably guarantees renewals for Community and Parks & Rec too. Fricking NBC, good lord. I know. I love her and I feel bad for her. I want Maya Rudolph off that series too. She has had nothing to do since they got rid of the Ava Show plotlines. And Will Arnett deserves better. I hope the other cast members leave in solidarity. It's not as if they aren't in demand.

Yeah, NBC needs to just cancel this. It's not like it's a ratings hit for them. Not worth the struggle. And you know it wouldn't make it re-formatted with a new star. I think NBC should just pick up Happy Endings if ABC cancels it . Ratings would probably be fine for them and they need something to fill the gaps left by 30 Rock, The Office, and probably 1600 Penn and Guys With Kids. Whitney will stick around, and I believe Community and Parks & Recreation will as well. Same goes for Go On and The New Normal.

Oh, "Community" and "Parks and Rec" are absolute sure things now.
Also, NBC still has that Anne Heche show "Save Me" to air with 13 episodes ready to go. They should just fill a hole in their schedule and start it when "Up All Night" was going to start again.

NBC has cancelled 'Do No Harm'. 'Law & Order: SVU' reruns will air in the Thursday 10 PM slot. http://www.deadline.com/2013/02/do-no-harm-cancelled-after-two-airings/

Do No Harm. lol. I can't. What was NBC even thinking putting that on the air? LOL, Dan Bucatinsky (Lisa Kudrow's producing partner) chimes in on Twitter about the possibility of replacing Christina Applegate: Quote: It's not true. No truth to it at all. RT “@KateAurthur: @danbucatinsky If Lisa Kudrow is JOINING UP ALL NIGHT (per Deadline).”

Do No Harm was doomed after casting the vanilla Steven Pasquale as the lead. Moderately amusing on Rescue Me, but a bore to watch in a leading role.

Can I just say for the 200th time how furious I am Parenthood's season has already ended when they have all these dramas bombing left and right? That show is one of their few bright spots and they can't even give it the treatment it deserves.
Shaking. My. Head.

Hopefully they'll smarten up and give Parenthood a full season next year.
To be fair Do No Harm was kinda doomed in that spot. Plenty of competition and awful lead-ins.

I was rooting for Do No Harm because a writer on the show (Aaron Ginsburg) does a podcast called Janie & Aaron Does Hollywood that I'm a fan of, but it just looked like complete shit.
And another swing and a miss for Samm "Little Wolverine" Levine.

If I'm NBC I use the events and characters in the Up All Night saga, as inspiration for its own 30 Rock like sitcom about a struggling TV show with behind the scenes horrors. Seriously. Do their Kudrow as Applegate idea, then cast Arnett and Rudolph as themselves. That's gold Jerry, gold!

No surprise on any of those. I'm worried for "Hart Of Dixie" and "Carrie Diaries" though. "90210" can go It's horrible now.

Not sure about Nikita or The Carrie Diaries. The fate of those two might depend on how Cult performs. It's time for 90210 to go.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2012-2013 Edition
I'm more confident in "Hart Of Dixie" getting renewed because it seems to have at least a moderate fanbase and could syndicate well if it reaches that mark. And it's a cute series that deserves it.
The CW really should cancel "90210" but since they seem to be a fan of giving shows final seasons I wouldn't be shocked if they picked it up.

They might give 90210 a final 13 episodes. I personally like that they do that though. It's nice for the fans of the shows to get a proper finale.

I was going to say it never would be but then I remembered that "Gossip Girl" got a pretty lucrative syndication deal from the Style Network recently.
