If you could recast..
.. one actor in one movie. Who would that be?
My choice would be Orlando Bloom in Kingdom of Heaven. I don't even know who I would love to see as the lead, because almost everyone would have been better than this boy. He didn't destroyed the movie for me (it's way too great for that) but what he did achieve with his incredible bland performance is me thinking every time Bloom is on screen how much better it would have been with someone else. He's not a good actor and it shows in every scene (especially when he's opposite of someone with acting abilities), but he doesn't even have the looks or presence for a movie like this. He works as a pussy in Troy, but as the big noble hero, he just sucks.
Without him, Kingdom of Heaven would have been in my all-time favorites list but he keeps it away from it and that's just bitter.

Michael Gambon in the 'Harry Potter' films, especially the fourth.

Re: If you could recast..
It's a tough choice, and requires only the one actor to have ruined the movie for you. For example, I wouldn't choose Colin Farrell in Alexander because, although I feel he's miscast as Alexander the Great, it's not the sole problem with the movie. Therefore..
Jamie Foxx in Django Unchained. An unknown would have been much better, and would have been more symbolic of how unimportant blacks were.

Oh and I'm gonna go with Riggs' choice. Bloom in KoH.

Re: If you could recast..
Jar Jar Binks, or the Gungans in general.
Don't make him CGI, change the entire character's background and personality, and Phantom of Menace is possibly awesome

Off the top of my head, Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Anna karenina. Was totally out-acted by Knightley and Law.

Haydon in Star Wars films. Orlando Bloom in KOH...
In both films the story had many interesting points, cool secondary characters... however the film revolved around the main character and they gave weak performances...

Re: If you could recast..
I really wanted Kevin Costner or Kurt Russel as originally intended in Django.
Adam Sandler as the bear jew would have been interesting, not sure I would have liked it more, but it would have been interesting.

Re: If you could recast..
As much as it is technically Michael Fassbender's breakthrough performance, I would have loved to see Simon Pegg in the role instead.

No, Simon Pegg almost played Rochester in Jane Eyre.

Lol anyone notice ROTS was making a lot of jabs at Bush Jr? Hayden is the obvious choice. As for the Bush jab, it is debatable what Lucas meant there. I can see why Lucas would make that jab because that Bush line reeks of totalitarianism.

Yeah, guys, but WHO would you replace Christensen with?
It's very easy to say that you'd like him to be replaced, but you don't venture far enough to say with whom.

I think Leo was who Lucas originally wanted. I wonder how that would have gone?
