I think perhaps what's most upsetting about all this is that we're going to be subjected to nonstop taunts and crowing from BKB *forever*, even considering he still underpredicted it. Oh, well.

BKB...is the single best reason for having an ignore button.
Or an 'have a hand come out of the computer and punch him brutally in the face, incurring as much pain and damage as possible' button.

Aw...it won't be so bad. He's going to have his day, and he does deserve it. He gets taunted all the time because of his past predictions being wrong. Don't let him upset you.

Many predicted 50m, 60m or more - they were wrong!
BKB did not. He was right!
Period. :???:
Now why do we need to discuss whether BKB deserves his victory or not? He won -> p.e.r.i.o.d.!

BKB was right about the crappy Ring Two =D> Though the fact that Ring Two only opened with only 14mil shows that people are tired of horror movies no matter the name on them, so Amityville will most likely underperform.

I'm really starting to wonder if you're a double account. You only post to say things negative about BKB. :???:

It is not a crappy number. In fact, It is quite good. I had guessed about 17M even before watching it.
Had it been released in October 2004, it would have grossed more. With the effect of the crappy Grudge and other horror movies since then, the potential for a bigger weekend was reduced.
LMR: 14M looks low compared the Grudge. So Killuminati510 is correct in calling it low considering The Ring2 comes with a better pedigree.

Are you serious? "only 14million" Thats in one day though...how is that bad? Its not, it just underperformed most of our expectations, im just trying to say even the most hyped horror movies, cant gross as much as they could've since the market is already over saturated with so many bad horror movies. People are just tired of horror movies.

But just because people overpredicted dosent mean its not a good-decent opening...

BKB was still too low, so I wouldn't throw a parade in the streets in his honor just yet. He's still a lousy predictor.

Comments like this are just begging for it. Is it too much to congratulate him? I don't think he was expecting to hit the bullseye, but it can't be denied that he called it. He said it would underwhelm and not be as big as everybody thought it would be, and he was right. Everybody needs to step up, quit lashing out at him for being right, and congratulate him. He's earned it.

I think the only reason Ring Two isn't hitting $50m is due to the horror overload. So, expect Amityville to disappoint also.

Again, I'll point out a shot that was said for no reason that to lash out at BKB, who has supported Amityville. I'm pointing this out, so you all understand when BKB makes life miserable for you, you have nobody to blame but yourselves, not him. Perhaps if you decided to pat the guy on the back, and show some dignity in defeat, he'd go soft on you, in fact, since I know him best, I'm betting he would have, but that must not be what anybody is interested in , so since you're not, I'll just sit back and enjoy the show. :pop:

No, I am saying Amityville has a chance of disappointing too due to the horror overload.

You actually said to expect it , in a matter of fact way , not that it had a chance. What "horror overload"? I certainly haven't seen a mass amount of horror films recently, have you? I know that you had to know that BKB has been pimping Amityville, so when you posted that, you obviously knew you were making a comment that would aggitate the situation. I wasn't born yesterday.
Just remember...I'm the only one here with a cage strong enough to contain that nasty troll. It would probably be wise to just take my advice, instead of continuing down the path that you guys are going. I'll not only support BKB if anyone tries to blame him for making their lives miserable after the comments made today, but I'll see to it that I encourage the situation for months unless you guys suck it up and quit with the sour grapes.
Now, does anybody want to do things my way, and quit with the comments, congratulate the man on his foresight, and have me on your side to make sure he doesn't go too far rubbing it in, or would you rather do it your way, and deny him his congratulations, insult him, say things that you know are taunting, and have him come in here to eat you alive for months while I laugh and encourage him every step of the way, even when you think it's over?
Seriously. suck it up. Every time the man is wrong, he sucks it up without hesitation. At least be as big as he is when you're wrong.

There's no denying BKB got The Ring TwO right. He might have been a bit too low, still, but he was closer than a lot of others. So yes, he was right. Nice job BKB. But I don't think you should be threatening us with BKB, Maverikk. That's quite stupid.

Damn, I was way off too and will be eating lots of crow pie. Lost a lot of money too on betting that it would have a $50 mil or higher opening on a gambling site. It's very sad that The Ring 2 had a lower opening day PTA than The Grudge. It's like the only audience for The Ring 2 was the same as the people who saw The Grudge, with no audience expansion at all. In fact, The Ring 2 will almost definitely gross less than The Grudge, and most likely less than Robots as well.
Wouldn't it be a surprise if Guess Who next week had the highest total gross of all the movies released this month?
