 Re: "Glee" Thread
Please tell me the writers aren't so stupid that they are going to subject us to more than one entirely McKinley-based episode this season If it is I might seriously skip it. Also they're idiotic for airing the episode on Thanksgiving. Ratings are going to be dreadful.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
Wait, what? I didn't even think about that. Why would they air a new episode on Thanksgiving?

No clue, but they're scheduled to as of right now since the promo said "next Thursday" and it's listed as being a new episode next week.

In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly they have the new one airing then too. That's crazy, IMO.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
Leave it to Glee to haphazardly introduce bulimia as nothing more than a plot device. Also, it made Marley seem mentally deficient. Wouldn't she notice that her other clothes still fit fine, or, you know, step on a scale? Oy.
On the plus side, Santana's presence in an episode automatically redeems it at least a little bit. And I looove Grease so I at least enjoyed the music.
And Lea Michele continues to do her best work since the first season, so that's another positive.
Have we ever figured out if Ryan Murphy actually hates Jenna Ushkowitz? When was the last time Tina even had a solo, that episode where she hit her head last season?
Would anyone really miss Will if he never came back?

It definitely wasn't good. I miss Rachel and Kurt. I can't believe after how great season 3 ended and how great this season started, that it's been nothing but shit the past few episodes.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
This episode was kind of corny but I actually liked it, despite no NYC material. At least they tried to do something different with the superhero theme and comic book-esque transitions.

Yeah, I finished it and it wasn't terrible. Easily the best of the Lima-focused episodes thus far.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
True to form for many Glee episodes, "Thanksgiving" bounced back and forth between being good and cringeworthy within seconds.
An example of this is the return of Quinn, by far the most prominent example of the writers' bizarre bipolarity. Her erratic personality changes from scene to scene even continued in this episode.
"Let's Have a Kiki" was like the gayest thing that's ever been on this show, which is saying something. I enjoyed it tho. SJP isn't as cartoonish as Kate Hudson has been. I always just kind of wish they would stay in NYC for a whole episode.
Marley collapsing was...dramatically effective, I suppose, if over-the-top. Maybe this will give her some personality.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
I found it funny that they aired a Thanksgiving episode the week after Thanksgiving, even though they aired an episode on Thanksgiving. Episode was mediocre. The shit with Marley was terrible and was better when they did like the same thing with Mercedes.

I wasn't even familiar with "Let's Have A Kiki," but it was awesome! I wish "Turkey Lurkey Time" wouldn't have been mashed in with it.
Watched the last two episodes. Wasn't crazy about the one they aired on Thanksgiving but it wasn't as bad as some of the other McKinley set episodes. I was really enjoying seeing Quinn back but then she got... weird. I agree with what Libs said. It's really too bad because I like Dianna Agron.

Very good episode tonight. Lea's performances were great, and I loved the performance of "Don't Dream It's Over." The snow was a great touch. I'm a sucker for snow.

I like how the show has split it's characters between those at school and those on their own. It's really opened up the show for me.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
Really good episode last night. I thought it was probably the first time the switch between McKinley and New York kind of worked, though I still really don't care about what's going on in McKinley at all and HATE Marley. Like, can they write her horrible character out of this show ASAP? I almost prefer Kitty The NYC stuff was the best as usual. Both Lea Michele and Chris Colfer's performances were great in the showcase scene, and both continue to be as likable as they were in the first season. I also liked the Kate Hudson number as well - it was really well-done - and the phone call scene between Rachel and Finn. I also thought "Don't Dream It's Over" was a solid number as well. Sue's character continues to make no sense though. I don't understand why her attitude for the Glee club changes pretty much every other episode, unless her anger towards it now is still stemming from Finn's stupid comment he made a few episodes back about her sister. Next week's episode looks bad though. Yay, they brought back the black-and-white holiday special, one of the absolute worst parts of last season! I also don't like that they are trying to rip off Love Actually. It should be cool seeing Terri again though.

I don't get your hate for Marley. She's harmless, she isn't even the most annoying new cast member. In fact, I think she's the most tolerable, despite the fact that the subplot with her and her mother is annoying.

Just watched last nights episode and it was great. I loved the whole episode (even the stuff back home).

They've made her character such a complete idiot that it's almost offensive. And her goody-two-shoes attitude towards everything seriously gets on my last nerve. The two new guys are easily the best of the new cast members.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
I don't have a problem with Marley, to be honest. I don't really care about most of the characters at McKinley, but she doesn't anger me or anything.
I believe Sue's so mad at the Glee club now because of Finn's comments. But I agree, it's ridiculous how they have her go back and forth. I liked Sue during the first season. Found her hilarious. But as the show went on I started to not like her at all. Now I kinda hate her. She's not funny anymore. Her personality changes are just as bad as Quinn's.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
The latest Christmas episode was actually pretty good and better than the past two they've done. Not all of the storylines worked, but none were completely unbearable or anything (with the exception of the Artie one, which was a little weird and possibly offensive). The Kurt one with Burt was easily the best. I hope they don't end up killing Burt off. The Puck one wasn't bad either. And even though I hate Marley hers wasn't the worst thing ever, mainly because it mostly focused on Sue and the mom. I wish there had been some more Rachel though - episodes without a lot of her often fail to hold my interest all the way through.
I was confused about something though - did Kurt not tell his dad that he broke up with Blaine? That made the scenes between them feel a bit awkward.

 Re: "Glee" Thread
I assumed that he knew they both missed each other and that's why he did it, knowing perfectly well that they were broken up, though I could be wrong. I actually loved the Christmas episode. I thought the Artie bit was really well done actually and I enjoyed seeing "what could have been" had he not be in Glee club. Sure, it was a bit corny but it was fun. I also really enjoyed Marly's story and I loved Sue's line about not being associated with the making of Marley & Me. It was a nice, sweet Christmas story. The only bit I didn't like was Puck's song. I though it was pretty annoying and out of place. There have been a few bad episodes this season, but it's definitely a huge step up in quality from the last two seasons.
