Re: The X-FACTOR Will KILL AMERICAN IDOL
Fox's handling of this tonight was poor. Anyway, apparently some more results were shown in Canada then in the US and I have to say after looking it up they eliminated Jillian but kept CeCe? Oh lord.

I don't think an elimination is more emotional in a long time than that of Jillian. It's PAINFUL. I felt terrible for her. But that category is so insane. That's the A-list category and it should've been divided between boys and girls. Eliminate groups or "teens".

Re: The X-FACTOR Will KILL AMERICAN IDOL
"The Voice" has been consistently more entertaining than "X-Factor" this season, so I don't blame NBC. They're striking while the iron is hot.

Re: The X-FACTOR Will KILL AMERICAN IDOL
I like the contestants a lot better this year. I'm especially impressed with what Carly Rose and Beatrice are able to do at AGE THIRTEEN. Jeez.
I'd hit at least 1/3rd of Emblem 3 (SEXY, at least the legal parts of the trio >.>) so hard that whoever pulled it out would be crowned the next king of England.

Didn't see the live show yet, but Cece did a song co-written by The Boss?

Re: The X-FACTOR Will KILL AMERICAN IDOL
Well i saw the performances on the X factor Youtube page. 1. Jennel Garcia: Im just in love with her hehe. That was great. 2. Carly Rose Sonenclar: Great vocals for that type of song. 3. Emblem3: That was pretty good. I actually see a great future for these guys. 4. David Correy: We've seen better from him. 5. Lyric145: Except for Gangman Style that was old school Hip-Hop right there, what the hell is LA talking about?!. I didnt like the mix of songs but it was a great performance. 6. Diamond White: Good... 7. Tate Stevens: Im not really fond of country music but it was pretty good. 8. CeCe Frey: They made her look so unlikable that its hard for me to like that performance. I guess it was OK, though the vocals werent all that great. 9. 1432 (AKA LYLAS): There first performance as a group was VERY VERY impressive, this was one really sucked. Hope they get it together. 10. Paige Thomas: I wasnt impressed with the vocals but the performance was quite something. :/ 11. Arin Ray: I just dont know why hes in the Top 16... Oh and i have that jacket he wore lol... Saw it on Burlington Coat Factory, bought for 59.99 haha. 12. Jason Brock: Lol... That was the gayest performance ever and very cabaret. He stroked a male dancer and even asked Mario Lopez if he can pinch hes butt. haha... 13. Vino Alan: Nickelback??!. That was quite disappointing and a very uncomfortable performance. He was one of my favorites. 14. Beatrice Miller: I personally think Britney screwed her with that song, i didnt like it at all, maybe it was just the nerves. And the hair... hehe. Oh well. 15. Sister C: Quite boring and annoying. 16. Willie Jones: Yeah, no. overall, Lackluster night, get rid of Khloe, LA Reid is a total dick and, he ruined Vino.

Since this is going to used as a discussion thread, can someone change the title of the thread?

Re: The X-FACTOR Will KILL AMERICAN IDOL
God, Khloe is a horrible co-host. You can tell she is just reading a teleprompter. No emotion for the contestants and you can tell she is obviously going for the paycheck. At least Mario can keep up some momentum.

matatonio wrote: The hell?! Britney and LA made some pretty bad decisions. I thought David Correy's Since You've Been Gone was one of the best performances of both nights. I was shocked when Demi and Simon disagreed. It was so heartfelt and he had way more passion in his voice than 90% of the contestants. Cece Frey is undergoing an identity crisis. I can't tell if the Mean Girl is her real persona, or is this terribly insecure Cece the real thing. But her Save Me performance was incredible. I think Demi adds a unique young voice to this and any other singing competition show. That's what The Voice and Idol are lacking is a genuinely young opinion. Of course she doesn't have the experience, but most singers today hit it big in their early 20s. It's good to have someone there in that demographic. And her critiques are 1000 times better than Britney's. I just want Britney to stop being so mechanical and speak from the heart. It's like she has a dozen responses lined up and just goes through them for the performances. LA Reid is the worst though. Last year, Nicole, Paula and Steve Jones took away from her awful he was, but now the spotlight is shining on him. The hosts weren't bad really. Khloe is probably the dumbest choice ever, but all things considered (especially her inexperience because she has no discernible talents), she wasn't awful. Stiff, yes. And I normally hate Mario Lopez, but he had a good vibe to his hosting. He probably should be going solo.

LA Reid is the whitest black guy since Bryant Gumbel. I only enjoy that kind of rap/hip-hop style if it's done really, really well, and they knocked it out of the ballpark. They're stars already. They might not actually need the win to make it big.

I want Cece gone. She's even more annoying with her "new" insecure persona.

I'm growing to like CeCe now. If anything Paige should go next from the Young Adults because now she, not CeCe, is trying too hard to stand out.

Demi and Simon are hilarious. What's with them picking on each other all of the sudden?
Britney is too formulaic. Get brutal bitch.

Re: The X-FACTOR Will KILL AMERICAN IDOL
My Ranking:
1. Carly Rose Sonenclar 2. Tate Stevens 3. Vino Alan 4. Fifth Harmony 5. Jennel Garcia 6. LYRIC 145 7. Diamond White 8. Arin Ray 9. Paige Thomas 10. Beatrice Miller 11. CeCe Frey 12. Jason Brock
Not a fan of Tate but that was a great performance. I really dont understand the love for Beatrice Miller, i really dont think she is all that great.

be.redy wrote: You missed the three guys the judges love but I don't get the appeal at all. Me neither. It's Simon's pet project to re-create One Direction. They have zero vocal ability, minimal wow factor and are cruising by because they're the cute boy band little girls will love. There's nothing fresh about them, nothing exciting and if they didn't have Simon pimping them out, they likely would be gone.
