It's for two episodes each for both.

I'm really surprised about 666. I'd move it though.

Script orders are about as telling of a show's future as when a lead star is cast in a pilot for the following season.

Private Practice coming to an end is the least surprising thing ever. Did anyone really think it would continue without Kate Walsh, let alone at these kinds of ratings?

Agreed. It was ridiculous they were thinking of continuing it without her. I hate that show anyway so I could care less.
I hope Walsh still makes appearances on "Grey's" though.

All of the characters on "Private Practice" are so annoying. I'm shocked that show even has a devoted fanbase.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2012-2013 Edition
Well they only have two shows for midseason. Gossip Girl is ending, which means they can only replace one new show, so it will come down to either Emily or Beauty. Either way it won't be about script themselves, I'm thinking CW is just keeping the crew busy until it figures out which show will settle in a smaller bomb territory.

"Beauty" would be the more logical choice to get rid of. It's atrocious, is certainly the more expensive series, and also "Cult" seems like a much better fit to be paired with "Vampire Diaries," primarily due to the star and the thriller tone. "Emily Owens, M.D." at least has Mamie Gummer and also is compatible with "Hart of Dixie," which has a 22-episode order.

I wouldn't be surprised by a CW schedule like this in the Spring...
Monday Carrie Diaries 90210
Tuesday Hart of Dixie Emily Owens
Wednesday Arrow Supernatural
Thursday Vampire Diaries Cult
Friday B&B Nikita

Yeah, I forgot that "ANTM" was being held until summer for its next cycle. That frees up that Friday slot. http://www.deadline.com/2012/10/abcs-sh ... -episodes/"Shark Tank" is also getting 2 additional episodes this season.
