Dane Cook's Next Caller has been canceled after four filmed episodes. One of those rare shows that goes to series and doesn't see the light of day. I'm sure the public is missing nothing.

Also, Bryan Fuller's Mockingbird Lane will air on the last Friday of this month as a 1-hour special. Kind of cool that they're giving it an air date, despite the rumors that the show is dead.

Next Caller looked awful anyways... Giving the Mockingbird Lane pilot a Friday airing isn't really promising even with the possibility of the show being picked up for series if the ratings are good. So far Bryan Fuller made great shows. Too bad each one of them was too short lived.

Paired with (a presumably new) Grimm and just before Halloween, it could do decent, if promoted. But NBC isn't giving a series it has confidence in a tryout on a Friday night. If it was really good and poised for a real pickup, it would be held till midseason.

At best it will match Grimm (1.4-1.6 depending on what Grimm does). I'm not sure if that will be enough for NBC even on Fridays.

"America's Next Top Model" has been renewed for a 20th season to air in the spring on The CW.

Wow . That show will never end. It has sure had a huge fall in the ratings since the beginning.

The update was altered and actually it will be airing in the summer now. Interesting - I wonder what The CW will put in that other Friday slot. Maybe Cult? Or maybe they'll move BatB at midseason? I think it would be smart to air Cult with Vampire Diaries for at least a few weeks since Matthew Davis is a familiar face to fans of that series.

Although Cult sounded awesome and even the script had some pretty good buzz, unfortunately it seems the pilot is a complete mess. Though CW has nothing to lose. BatB won't last.

I've seen the pilot and it's not terrible, just weird. "The Following" does a similar concept about a thousand times better.

The DVR numbers for it were really encouraging. I think they made the demo go above a 3.0.

Shawn Ryan just tweeted that "Last Resort" is getting an additional script order. The number of episodes remains to be seen - I'm sure it will be announced shortly.
