It might be premature to say this, but this show is great again :P. I loved the premiere! Kate Hudson was awesome and I love the stuff in New York. I'm enjoying seeing Rachel as an underdog again. The stuff back in Ohio didn't bother me either. I like Marley well enough.

I'm actually pretty excited for the rest of the season. For the first time in a while this show feels... fresh.

Sounds like the problem isn't Unique, but you. :P You hate all gay characters on the show.

Santana is my favorite character on the show. And the actor who plays Unique is awful. I used to like Kurt and with the right material he can be tolerable.

The season premiere was surprisingly OK. The New York/Lima divide didn't feel as schizo as it could have.

Rachel was also likable for the first time in a while. Seems like she's matured a bit since last season. And Kate Hudson was pretty fierce.

Plus I think I'll enjoy Rachel and Kurt together in NY. I missed Santana tho.

The high school scenes were OK. Unique is a bit grating, but I dug the girl who plays Marley.

Brittany is the absolute worst. Why they kept her there is beyond me.

And it looks like next week's episode will focus on her, bleh.

Is Santana not on the show anymore? Didn't see her in the first episode.

She's supposed to be in the next episode. All of the characters from the first three seasons that graduated are back in some capacity, but the only one who is going to be in every episode is Lea Michele (and Chris Colfer? Seems like he's essentially going to get the same amount of screentime, but Michele was the only one confirmed).

I feel completely disrespected as a Britney fan, this episode was disgusting.

Definitely. This was done in awfully bad taste. Also Rachel raped Ooops. It took Glee one episode to go S3 horrible. Congrats!

Post Re: "Glee" Thread
I really dislike all of the new characters at McKinley. I almost want to fast-forward whenever they are onscreen. The new girl Marley is so poorly written and annoying - I burst out laughing during her scene with Jake by the lockers where she had "I LOVE MY MOM <3" written on her locker. As if they couldn't hammer in that fact a little more into our heads - the lunchroom scene clearly wasn't enough.

I'm actually still really liking the NYC scenes. This is the first time I haven't found Kurt annoying in god knows how long and I like Rachel's arc a lot - the scenes between her and Kate Hudson were great and Brody isn't a bad addition.

I'm kind of surprised FOX let this show get away with Brittany's downward spiral 'mirroring' Britney Spears's, since it was in kind of bad taste and the whole reason this episode existed in the first place was to give her involvement with "X-Factor" more promotion.

Great seeing Santana again even if it was only for a split second. It felt more authentic than Puck's appearance - also another instance of Will being annoying (how was it his right at all to introduce a kid to his half-brother he's never met?)

Also, noticed Jayma Mays is being billed as a guest star now. I'm surprised they didn't do that with the other returning cast members since they seem like they'll be in an equal amount of episodes.

Mixed bag of an episode - still not at season 3 bottom-of-the-barrel levels but a step down from the premiere.

Britanny's downward spiral was also very forced and came out of nowhere. A horrible idea for a story this was.

That Gimme More performance was one of the most disguting things I've seen on Tv and no they cant get away with it even if in the end it was all to kiss BRitney's ass in a 30 second scene.

It's not the first time that performance has been satirized. I actually thought the umbrella/head shaving thing was in worse taste.

This episode definitely was a step-down in quality from the premiere. I kept wanting more New York stuff when we were back at McKinley. Glad this Britney episode is over. Though Blaine singing "Boyfriend" was sexy. :wub2: Next week's looks better.

Britney 2.0 wasn't awful by Glee standards but it was pretty stupid regardless. They probably should have just done a full-on Rachel spinoff. The New York scenes are pretty good but the McKinley ones aren't really working.

Also, they've really ruined the Brittany character. She used to be the best thing about the show when she just appeared for random hilarious one-liners, but her character is so unbelievably stupid that it's not really amusing to watch anymore.

I agree. I used to LOVE Brittany, but they've made her too one-dimensional and stupid to an unrealistic extent, which is a shame.

I think the point is that Lea Michelle and Chris Colfer are the heart of the show. Love them both!

I can't really work up the energy to care about Glee these days but this is an excellent cover. Loooove this song and Darren Criss sounds great singing it. From Thursday's upcoming episode.

Really enjoyed tonight's episode. It was better than last week's. Again, the New York stuff was by far the most interesting. I do think Kurt's Vogue experience is a bit unrealistic though.

Next week's looks great.

Glad it's decent. There's just too much on at 9PM on Thursdays now to watch this live. But I'll definitely watch it first thing on Hulu tomorrow.

The show has sooo many plot lines going at once that it can't take the time to be suspenseful. Kurt got the Vogue job in about 3 minutes and the whole class president thing seemed so insignificant in the end (although I guess that's kind of what they were going for).

Solid episode. The NYC stuff was completely unrealistic but still easily the most enjoyable part of the episode. Sarah Jessica Parker was great.

I agree that there is a little too much going on right now for anything to really have a clear focus. The only storyline that seems to be getting anything resembling depth thus far is the Cassandra-Rachel plotline (which took a backseat this week anyway).

I hope Blaine and Kurt break up next week :P I've actually found Kurt tolerable this season and I think a large part of it is because those two characters aren't together in most scenes.
