Sypnosis:
What begins as a weekend getaway for six friends becomes a terrifying fight for their lives in HOUSE OF WAX, an exciting re-imagining of the 1953 horror classic from Dark Castle Entertainment and producers Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis.
A road trip to the biggest college football championship of the year takes a turn for the worse for Carly (ELISHA CUTHBERT), Paige (PARIS HILTON) and their friends when they decide to camp out for the night before heading to the game. A confrontation with a mysterious trucker at the camp site leaves everyone unsettled, and Carly has her hands full trying to keep the peace between her boyfriend Wade (JARED PADALECKI) and her hot-headed brother Nick (CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY).
They wake up the next morning to find that their car has been deliberately tampered with. At the risk of being stranded, they accept a local’s invitation for a ride into Ambrose, the only town for miles. Once there, they are drawn to Ambrose’s main attractionâ€â€Trudy’s House of Wax, which is filled with remarkably life-like wax sculptures. But as they soon discover, there is a shocking reason the exhibits look so real.
As the friends uncover the town’s dark secrets, they are stalked by a demented killer and find themselves in a bloody battle for survival. The group must find a way out of Ambroseâ€â€or become permanent additions to the HOUSE OF WAX.

This film looks really.....good all of a sudden
It could be the $70m-100m grosser range im feeling Scream themes and weve not had a good teen slasher for some time - it may be the revival.

I actually think it looks kind of fun, but I can't see it doing well. It'll probably get lost in the competition to some extent, but will still do about what the average Dark Castle movie grosses, maybe a bit less opening and total cuz of no Halloween. 15/38

8m/16m Yeah, trailer isn't all that great I agree.
It should do a little better though as it is a remake and at least follow the other Dark Castle remake films.

Wait...
When did this get slapped with an R rating? That's awesome. I wasn't going to see it if they tried to trim a slasher film down to a PG13. That's almost as bad as trying to make a werewolf film PG13.

Anyway, film looks pretty cool if you're a fan of bad slasher flicks - luckily I am. I expect it to perform similar to Wrong Turn. Maybe slightly better because of the kitsch factor this one seems to have.

Which im very very glad about.
Hopefully we'll get some long overdue gory deaths.

The trailer/film appear to look good imo. Plus, it doesn't hurt that CMM is looking hotter than ever.
