I don't blame Darren Criss. I believe he's being directed to look stupid now. His musical numbers have become cringe-worthy. "Somebody That I Used To Know" was fine, but "Fighter" was embarrassing. I also hate the way the character dresses. That doesn't help. He's sucked from the getgo. His character has always been horribly written. It doesn't help that Kurt is as unlikable as they come too. I adored him last year. This year though, mostly as of late, he's lost that something I thought he had last year.

Just started watching. Will Quinn get out of the wheelchair by the end of the episode or will they keep her there until the season finale. Still Standing suck...

I fast forwarded through the first number and "Up, Up, Up." The rest of the episode was OK though. Matt Bomer was great and the rest of the episode was fairly well done.

Pretty much everything about this episode was boring other than Matt Bomer's guest spot, which was terrific. And I did like the performance of Somebody That I Used to Know, mostly because I love the hell out of that song.
The less said about Quinn's new arc, the better. Poor Dianna Agron: yet again done a complete disservice by the writers.

Matt Bomer was really good but the storyline just felt uncomfortable, especially given the song choices...

Tonight's episode was decent.
Next week's episode will likely see this season's biggest ratings as they're doing the music of Whitney Houston.

Terrible episode. Good music, but whatever happened in between was a boring trainwreck. They're going around in circles with most of the stories.

I'm not a big fan of the Bee Gees, but I actually thought the episode last night was kind of great? I thought the scenes involving the impending graduation worked very, very well - especially the moment between Finn and Will in the classroom.

But Thom HATES Will, so coming from him that's impressive.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
The transition from Blaine and Kurt's argument to the 'It's Not Right But It's OK' number last night (as well as the number itself) was the worst thing this show has done since the leprechaun episode.
Also, Will continues to be one of the creepiest characters on television with his obsession with having the kids at his wedding.
The rest of it, though, was decent. Especially liked the opening and closing numbers.

So, if Quinn is paralyzed from the waist down how did she feel Christian Joe's boner when he was doing physical therapy with her? And is he is licensed physical therapist at that place? LOL, why was he doing it?

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
LOL the boner scene. Awful. Poor Dianna Agron, once again.
Pretty silly episode overall, mostly due to the cheesiness of the writing (the transition of Blaine/Kurt's argument into "It's Not Right But It's Okay," Will spazzing out like a freak about the seniors not coming to his wedding). I did really like the acappella How Will I Know.
I'm still wondering what this show is going to do next season. I feel like it's going to become 2 separate shows...maybe half a season showing the Manhattan graduates and half a season showing the glee club? Or half an episode of each?

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
I honestly have no idea what their plan is for the next season, and I'm curious to see if anyone from the cast leaves. I get the feeling though that in terms of the stuff that happens at McKinley Darren Criss will be taking a more central role.
I really don't hope they pull the 'let's move them all to LA' move that Ryan Murphy did with "Nip/Tuck." Would be so stupid.

1. They could do a fast farward a la housewives in season 5. 2. Glee is about the current cast so maybe we leave McKinley completely.
why do you guys still try to make sense of the plot? Glee is and should be about the musical numbers and those deliver week after week.

Whew, this episode was depressing. It was actually pretty good, though. Lea Michele really sold "Cry." Puck flunking his test was actually kind of sad (lol). And Beiste's storyline, which could have been as preachy as things on this show always are, worked because of Dot-Marie Jones.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
This show actually hasn't been horrible since the hiatus - not that it's great by any means but each episode has a lot fewer moments where I want to shut the TV off, if that means anything.
Last night's episode was OK. I don't think the domestic violence storyline worked at all mainly because it came out of nowhere, but Puck's storyline was good (minus that godawful "Rain In Spain" number that I had to fast forward through) as was Rachel's - and I thought Lea Michele's performance was effective. Loved the "Cry" number.

It hasn't been horrible, but it has been horrible.... If you know what I mean. They've cut most of the over the top moments, but what made this show great at first were those over the top moments, but they made sense in the greater story and weren't there jut for the sake of it like it became the case in this season. Also Rain In Spain has been the most horrible thing they did ever.
