Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
And the inconsistency with this season continues. I thought this episode was rather good though. Actually liked New Directions's performance.

Don't get me wrong, I have a weird place in my heart for that song but...SERIOUSLY? lolz Yeah, that was BAD . But this was a good episode. Wasn't crazy about the music used for sectionals, but the episode was still good. I really hope Brit and Santana get together this season.

Mixed bag of an episode. The Christmas special thing was so awful that I actually started laughing at one point because of how ridiculous (and long!) it was. However, I quite enjoyed almost all of the stuff not in that 25 minute segment (except that awful Irish Glee Project winner - who needs to leave the show).

I turned my TV off during "Moves Like Jagger" tonight. Ugh.

Horrible episode. They had the perfect song to use for the proposal (Bruno Mars' Marry You) and they go with We Found Love? Huh? Glee has been horrible this season.
Loved the whole English voiceover for Becky though.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
Why in the hell would Will ask Finn to be his best man? Does he have NO adult friends?
Also, that whole proposal scene was kind of sickening not only due to the awfulness but also because of the horrible things Will said to Emma in that speech two scenes before. I felt awful for her character and couldn't believe she'd say yes after all of that. On top of that, is it just me or has the Will/Emma relationship been one of the most poorly developed things in this show as of late? Poor Jayma Mays is saddled with nothing to do and their whole romance seems to have come out of nowhere, as opposed to the first 13 episodes where it was perfectly plotted and the end of the midseason finale was an adorable resolution to everything. It really shows how far the show has fallen just two years later.
The Sue/Becky scenes were good though, and the girls doing their big number wasn't so bad (at least it was better than the nightmarish "Moves Like Jagger" number).
The very end was stupid. Obviously Rachel's going to say no.

Loved the whole English voiceover for Becky though. They performed that last season though. I agree, We Found Love is just one of the most bizzare choices in terms of the choices for proposals... Can't believe how much this show has sank in terms of quality. Sad.

Michael Jackson episode was...OK. Better than Britney Spears, not nearly as good as Madonna. "Human Nature" was the best song.

Wait, I liked last night's episode, something must be wrong.
I actually thought the musical numbers were mostly well done and I liked the applications storyline and the directions it took.

Watching last episode. Scream currently on. SOOOOOO GAY! But the episode is so far so good. Better than Glee was this season.

2Cellos? Those guys are everywhere. But I'm glad they used their cover version for Smooth Criminal. EDIT: Well Glee still has it. Hopefully this means that things will pick up and not go back to the horror Glee has become. Also Kurt has become so ear grating. Even Finn sounds like a good singer now compared to him. What happened? He was near as pitchy and annoying before.

I thought Scream was weird with 2 guys singing it but it was nice seeing him out of that damn wheelchair. I like how the storylines have focused more on the relationships and less on Lynch's character who was/is just to mean and to cartoony now. Also, I wish Kurt's dad would just die already.

Uhh, what? Kurt's dad is an amazing character, even when nothing else on this show is working. Despite Glee's many (many) misgivings, one of the best things the show has ever done is this consistent portrayal of a loving and supportive parent of a gay teenager.

Ya he's loving and supporting, but I'm honestly tired of it. I wish he had just died when he was near death in the hospital bed in one episode. Let's move on already.

I liked this episode because:
a) it addressed that Will sucks at, in a nutshell, life (and teaching Spanish) b) Ricky Martin has somehow gotten hotter in the last 10-12 years

Why is it that everyone is against her marrying Fin? I don't get all this anti-marriage sentiment on the show.
