The opening of the new season of Two and a Half Men reveals Sheen's character (Charlie Harper) died a tragic death, thus opening the house up for sale with Ashton Kutcher buying it.. Got it?? Good.... I give it 1 season and the plug gets pulled..
Quote:
Charlie Harper Dies Tragic Death
"Two and a Half Men" will turn dark for just a minute or two when it premieres in September ... because Alan and Jake will learn Charlie Harper bit the dust.
Sources connected with the show tell TMZ ... Chuck Lorre's plan is to make sure Charlie Sheen can NEVER come back on the show. Although the first show won't be filmed until August 5, producers have been kicking around scenarios, which include Charlie driving a car over a cliff.
Of course, it would be art imitating life, because two of Charlie Sheen's cars went down a cliff on Mulholland Drive.
As for how Ashton Kutcher enters the picture, there's been talk that he buys Charlie's house after Charlie kicks the bucket.
Sources tell us ... the first script still isn't locked and Lorre often makes changes until close to taping, but it's pretty clear -- Charlie Harper is pushin' up daisies.

Re: Charlie Sheen's Character Killed Off In Two And A Half M
Bumping this up since tomorrow night is the season premiere of Two and a Half Men with Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen and the irony is, is that Comedy Central is hosting the "Charlie Sheen Roast" on the same night and same time as the season premiere of Two and a Half Men.. Who will win the ratings on this night???

Oh I don't know, a show on network television or a show on cable?! WHAT A TOSS-UP. My mind is blown thinking about it.

I think you'll be surprised actually and normally on something like this, I'd agree with ya as much as I think your a self proclaimed dope, but curiousity could very well best Two and a Half Men just to see Sheen get bashed in what might end up going from a "Roast" to an "Intervention"..
This will do fine. And crush whatever the Roast does in ratings.

CBS is going to have a huge night tonight I believe. Wouldn't be surprised if they stay above 10M viewers for each half hour.
Men may break a 5 demo.

I've never watched this show and I'll likely watch it tonight.

But that's where it will stop is out of curiousity and it was always going to have a big night cause of it.. After tonight and for the next couple of weeks will really be the big test for this show whether it sinks or swims.. Alot of people may not have liked Charlie Sheen and or his personal lifestyle, but he did make the show and for alot of people, that's a deal breaker.. Rarely do shows continue to be successful without their main star and with a replacement..

Re: Two And A Half Men With Ashton Kutcher
I've only seen bits and pieces of the show before but was curious about Kutcher being on it and how they'd explain Sheen's absence, so I watched tonight. It was kind of amusing. I could see myself watching it here and there now.

It wasn't too good either..I'd be willing to bet that the Roast of Charlie Sheen was more popular last night, but CBS will make absolute certain to claim the #1 spot last night, otherwise, it really would look bad if Sheen's Roast beat out the season premiere of Men..
Here's a Poll this morning on what viewers thought of "New and a Half Men, Now With More Ashton" and it seems pretty obvious viewers miss Sheen with a few who enjoyed last nights episode and ALOT who didn't like it, but felt it needed more time.. One thing that can be agreed upon: Kutcher needs to ace the Jesus look..
In other news, Charlie Sheen has reached a settlement with WARNER BROS and Chuck Lorre over his contract and looks like Charlie truly did WIN and will bank about 100 Million over this whole thing, plus any other royalities involved with Syndication of this show..

Charlie Sheen Nears $25 Million Settlement with Warner Bros
Written By Robert Seidman
September 19th, 2011
Charlie Sheen is close to to settling the $100 million wrongful termination suit he filed against Warner Bros for about $25 million according to the LA Times. "The expected agreement, which is still being ironed out, would bring to an end one of the ugliest fights ever between a star and a studio," wrote the Times' Joe Flint.
Perhaps the recent displays of contrition were aimed at getting the settlement completed?
We'll have the Sheen-less 'Two and a Half Men' season premiere ratings up tomorrow morning (Pacific Time) and the results for the Charlie Sheen roast on Comedy Central in the afternoon
