I missed the Oscars! #-o I am so, so glad Million Dollar Baby got most of the main categories though. I know you said M$B isn't your type of film but I really suggest you see it, I think you'll at least... like it.
Any pics of Emmy from the show? Hehe.

I too was dissapointed TPoTO did not win any of its technical awards.
And yes, Rossum was looking stunning, as usual.

No, i'm going to pass - this year really doesn't interest me that much, and although i'm dissapointed Aviator didn't win the main prize, it doesn't really bother me that MDB won (ok, slightly pissed  )....
I'm sorry i wasn't able to provide a better coverage of the Oscars, uni is back in full swing and the past 2 days have been filled with study and work commitments, i'll be free tomorrow night, so i'll do a little update then and wrap things up for what has been a very enjoyable 3 months of Phantom converage for me....
BTW - i must say, don't you guys think Beyonce's LTBL performance received the greatest applause out of the Best Songs, it was huge, perhaps because she did take it very high in the register and grand piano performances are normally very well received....and of course, ALW

The Motorcycle Diaries Songs came out of nowhere, people were either expecting Shrek 2, POlar Express or Phantom....oh well,
Rossum was stunning, her red dress was so much better than Renee's, and i'm surprised she didn't feature in any fashion Best Dressed lists here in any Melbourne newspapers.......but perhaps she still is not well known enough for the journalists, who crave star power.....
I'll post a few pictures tomorrow.....BTW i just read that the folks over at Box Office Prophets really liked her dress, calling her best dressed....http://www.boxofficeprophets ... umnID=8839

Well, I didn't watch the programme but I did see a pic on emmy online and she looked lovely.
Cate...well Cate is stunning and I am happy for her win, though she deserved it long ago for Elizabeth.

Some Comments on EMMY ROSSUM
* Colorful stones are still enjoying popularity. The good example was Phantom of the Opera actress Emmy Rossum's Harry Winston ruby-and-diamond necklace and her matching drop earrings. The red of the items fit elegantly with the actress's red strapless dress.

* Sophisticated starlet Emmy Rossum wore a princess ruby-and-diamond Harry Winston necklace and matching drop earrings and a crimson-red Ralph Lauren gown, which she described as the color of a 1945 Bordeaux wine. "I heard that's a good year," said the 18-year-old.

* Emmy Rossum of "Phantom of the Opera" talked about her Christmas dinner with legendary writer Kurt Vonnegut and his famed photographer wife Jill Krementz. They're old family friends.

* Best dressed: Zellweger (in Carolina Herrera), Rossum (in Ralph Lauren) and Oh (in Michael Kors) were radiant in their strapless red gowns. Young stars Dunst and Johanssen rocked the red carpet in black dresses with cool details

* The trends of the evening were strapless dresses - Gwyneth Paltrow in nude silk Stella McCartney, Emmy Rossum in red Ralph Lauren and Penelope Cruz in gold Oscar de la Renta - oversize diamond earrings and soft undone hair.

Now that Phantom has finished its Oscar run, and has dissapeared off the charts in many countries, i think this is the right time for us to slow things down (with Uni starting for me..etc).
So until next time folks,

Arch, thanks for tracking this film, it really was a lot of fun. Sad to see that the end has come but as in all good things the end is always a reality. Don't be a stranger around these boards...
