Congrats Proud Ryu, Craig Hack, Omni/Corpse, Gopher, BJ, and Keyser for the Top 25 scores! Plenty of others with great scores in the Top 50!

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Echo on what's Rolling Thunder said. Congrats everyone!
Having a Wednesday deadline just because of Vampires Suck feels like a stretch, especially with 5 new openers and certain massive shift in theater counts. Oh well, going to be a very interesting week, and I enjoy predicting more openers. Also with 3 openers this past weekend and 5 next, there are only two holdovers in the predicted top 10 who have stayed in theaters for more than 2 weeks, and neither should lose say like 1,000 theaters since both are still in over 3,000 screens and made over $11m on the weekend.

Very impressive score, Proud Ryu, congrats!
This week helps us in the yearly chart, but only minimal help. Still, satisfied after last week's ranking.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Thanks all! Beat my personal high score again, woohoo. Nice consolation for having to return from paradise weather on California coast back to sweltering Illinois. Nice job Omni/Corpse as well and almost famous. @xiayun yeah this'll be a good one coming up - possible high variance in scores. Apox on the Wed deadline.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
This is the lowest Derby participation since New Year's Eve 2006. Either hundreds didn't realize it was a Wednesday deadline or they didn't want a super low score this weekend.

Whoa I didn't notice that. Wouldn't be surprised if lots of people didn't realize anything was opening Wed, as the top factor. Looks like a similar thing happened in 2006 when World Trade Center quietly snuck in on Wed just as the school year was approaching.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I missed last few Derby's so I made sure to predict this one. Though I'm afraid I won't do good. Too many openers and it seems like every single one can either disappoint or break out just a little.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Wow Ryu, you are really on fire! Congrats again. I would have thought 90% would win the weekend for sure given the small number of players and 5 new openers, a few of which didn't really perform according to tracking or rules.
Great score BJ as well.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I'm VERY surprised they are making us predict the Avatar re-release. I don't consider this a new film.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
I actually made the recommendation to BOM via email on predicting 12 movies this weekend because 1) I think Avatar is a very exciting film to predict since the range could be big given the predictions we've seen so far (personally I wouldn't even be surprised with an $1m weekend); 2) the top 9 this past weekend were really bunched up together.

Thanks! Had no idea what to expect from this one. Whatever I'm doing right I hope I can keep doing it!
Avatar may be a game wrecker this weekend.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Congrats Omni/Corpse! Although like with Ryu, surprised that you guys didn't win with a 90%+ score.
And Congrats to Gopher, Scott, and Ryu too.

Great job Omni, Corpse, Gopher.
Very happy w/my top 10 since I entered a wrong number for Piranha and for some reason it didn't click that it was wrong. Avatar helped save me a bit.
