BJ, Zing has been saying 55-60 percent drop all along and most people expected it too. Should end up with 70+ mil. It is not due to bad WOM. It is esentially behaving like other movies in the genre.

It DOESN'T have bad WOM either, like you proclaim.

It was not to be expected by me, Im not going to set my expectations low on what I expect a film to perform, if the film fails in the terms of what I expected it to perform I will always say it is dissapointing I will not say it was to be expected
anyway, there is always the next film

BOM lists it at $100M.

Once again, Zing, you are fabricating, or only seeing black and white in your anger over Constantine's performance. I have clearly stated, and can pull up the links if you want to deny it, that the WOM is ranging from "bad" to "it was ok" for the most part, which the numbers are supporting. The raving was far and few between. That doesn't mean you aren't allowed to love it, but the story is clearly being told , as this movie is fading quickly.

I'm dissapointed with a movie that opened to almost $35 million in 4-days when I predicted under $30 for 4-days. Listen to yourself.

It's funny how you're avoiding my comments in the Constantine thread where I clearly show you that I said "I expect Constantine to drop 55-60% in the second weekend." It's okay Mav, you don't have to respond over there. We ALL know.

Pull up the links, show me Zing saying this film would perform great, sure Ive seen him saying how much he liked the movie but thats about it, hes always expected the film to drop like a stone.

Looks like everybody else did it too. This might be one of the most underestimated movies by professional predictors.

I should have stuck with my original prediction of like 13 Million for MAD BLACK WOMAN, which at least would have been closer than the 8.9 Million I ended up predicting for it.
Poor CURSED . That's sad! Crap like BOOGEYMAN makes more than it! Very disappointing! I want a sequel dang it! It really didn't help that a ton of horror movies have already been released this year, and most aren't supposed to be very good. People were just getting sick of horror. It's too bad this couldn't have gotten released sooner before the others took a bunch of money from horror seeking audiences. This is upsetting. If it were released in October it would be a big hit.
At least MILLION DOLLAR BABY made more than it did last Friday. But I'm still too upset about the gross for CURSED to care about anything else right now.

i'm not surprised with cursed number, though i too predicted much higher, because after seeing the film, it was a wreck. it had a really random plot line, with stupid sub plots that just didnt seem to fit. it didnt have the scares a good horror should have, and it just plain sucked hardcore. and with seeing the 10 people at the 7:25 show in the theater, im honestly not surprised it only came up with that number.

Even if he wanted to, he'll never find that link. He's a good fiction-story teller, though.

The budget is $100 million, according to BOM and Yahoo. It'll easily make all that back, though. It'll make around $70-80 million domestically, and with the huge numbers overseas, it'll be profitable.

Thanks JB/Zing.
As long as it makes a profit (which it looks to), the numbers are fine IMO. It's a genre film released in the middle of winter, there's only so much you can expect box office wise.

Then perhaps you can explain why he argued and got blue in the face telling me I was wrong?

Maybe we'll be up to a 70% drop by the time BOM's estimates come out.
(I'm sure that I will later be told that I said "it WILL drop 70%")

I got blue in the face. Righttttttt. You say false information (like how I said it would have a great drop this weekend, when I already proved that I said it would drop 55-60%) and that it has bad WOM, and then you start wars.
Guess what Mav. I'll be the bigger man here (because you'll never do that) and I'll walk away from this arguement. As I've said before, arguing with you is like arguing with a peice of paper or a brick wall. You'll get nothing in return. I'm wasting my time arguing with someone who says the stupidest things and starts the stupidest arguements here.
Even though I'm 16 years old, you're the one that needs some growing up.

Constantine can't drop 70%, because it will rise on Saturday... it won't even drop 60%!
