I know what I like, and I know that avatar is the superior film.

Saw Slumdog Millionaire first time and snored 5 times in middle. Never thought of seeing it again.

Though I still love the novel and did read it once again after the Oscars. The book does not concentrate on the love elements and is way more realistic than the movie. I watch mostly all of Indian movies and these kind of love stories are very very common for Bollywood movies

The reader was far more memorable than Slumdog Millionaire. The latter is forgettable to it's very core, the dark message overlapped by preposterously heart-warming moments is simply not something worth taking up space in my limited memory. However the insolent, and purely awful nature of The Reader will haunt me for some time to come.

I certainly remember it better than Benjamin Button. And probably a little more than Milk. I keep forgetting to catch Frost/Nixon and The Reader.

God last year was a mediocre line-up.

The absolute vitriolic hatred for The Reader online will always confuse and upset me. I maintain it's a moving, interesting, extremely well-acted drama.

Yes. The scene I recall most was when the kid did his best to get that picture signed even after falling into a vat of crap.
