Don't worry about Lynette. You will soon grow to hate her, I'm sure. Especially when all that nanny crap happens.

Why do you hate Lynette so much? Is it a case where your hate for her is welcomed, because it makes you enjoy the show more, or do you want her to be killed off?

The character of Lynette is a horrible, selfish monster.
Take, for example, last week's episode. Mary Alice's voice over went on and on about how Lynette was embarassed to display works of art her children made for her. That's a loving mother right there. Beeyatch.

Yes, she's a bit of a meanie, but look at the little demonic children that she's being punished with, and she's probably also a little salty about being the least attractive in her circle of neighborhood friends. Personally, Bree, Lynette, and Edie all have bitchy qualities about them. Susan's the only non bitch of the group, but those little qualities are what make the show for me.

This show is very much like Tales from the City. Tonights episode so far is pretty solid. Not a lot of comedy but a lot of new developments as always.
but they really need to start focusing on a few storylines and then resolving them before going to a new one.

That was one of my favourite DH episodes.
Poor Susan she just looked so devestated after returning from the police station. I guess it is a bit of a blow to find out that the man you love is a killer and a drug dealer. Not to mention the fact that he didn't shoot himself, like he said because I think thats the only instance where he lied to her directly because she did shut him up with that whole 'I trust you because you came clean' stuff a few episodes ago.
Gabrielle was sweet too, much more so than in her previous episodes. Especially when talking to Justin in the apartment and with Carlos at the end. Bree was great as were her kids, I would like for them to give Danielle more to do - Andrew has already ran someone over it's Danielle's turn to commit a felony or something. Also Zach - he just can't be non creepy. Even with Julie he manages to bring the weird, I hope he gets trigger happy sometime in the future I can give him directions to Lynette's house, who yep..still hate.

Agreed, best episode in a while.
Lynette still sucks. I mean, *this* week she sabotages her husband's career for her own selfish needs? I didn't even feel anything for her when she supposedly felt guilty for doing that behind his back.
Andrew being the "gay" character doesn't surprise me.
Poor Susan. She just can't catch a break.

This certainly was an awesome episode. Enough to holdover for 3 weeks.
Actually, no. I want more
I'm really glad they didn't go with another gardener story for Gabrielle and they went the route they did. It certainly shook things up. At first I thought Justin was lying about being gay just to bring sympathy out of Gabrielle but when he kept mentioning some "other guy" he kept messing around with, I realized it was probably Andrew as was released in the news. I reall am interested in how they are going to handle that storyline. They are the second (or third) hgihest rated show of the season and homosexually is a hot button now. Then again I don't think alot of coservative narrow people would have been attracted to this show in the first place.
I really like where Susan's story is going. They are finally giving it some oomph. Yes, everyone feels sorry for her and I'm really starting to like her character. She was pretty funny too when she caught the two guys in the pool. I mean, ya her character is a sucker and a klutz, the sooner you embrace that the funner she will be to watch!
I really liked Gabrielle's storyline this week. The last scene with her and ehr husband was really well done. I don't care what any other people think, but I think she is just as good as all the other actresses and her storylines are just as interesting. I think the show is extremely well balanced. It is starting to have so many different plotlines like LOST, but the difference is they do give us something almost every episode.
As for Lynette. I don't know why so many posters here hate her. I don't think you can appreciate her character unless you do have kids that run crazy and a husband who is always gone. I actually sympathize with her.
I wasn't sure about one thing...
Was the guy who was talking to Mike Delfino's boss at the end Lynett's husband??? Who was it? I saw his face and it looked like Lynnett's husband but it might not have been, since he was in bed with his wife.

It's a shame that every time a show seems new and fresh, the actors from old shows come out of the woodwork trying to leach onto the new blood. I'd rather they didn't have well known people added to DH and Boston Legal. That's another thing I like about Lost, no matter how popular it gets, there's not much fear that Heather Locklear will suddenly appear.

Well, to be fair to Desperate Housewives, Bob Newhart and Lesley Ann Warren are only guest-starring.

That makes him messed up? I think that makes him emotionally confused.

More information regarding the DVD release of the show, details aren't set in stone but it looks as if Sept 20 is the date.

That's probably just going to make the season premiere (which I'm assuming would air September 25) get even more monstrous ratings.

Yes, this show is going to get astonishingly huge numbers in its 2nd season if they build up a good climax towards May.

Does anyone know the air dates for the remaining episodes?
One fan site has all the remaining LOST air dates. LOST is going on a 6 week hiatus from new episode after tomorrow.
I was wondering how they're gonna do it with Housewives. I would rather them take a few weeks off and then build non-stop towards the finale rather than remaining anticlimatic bu having 2-3 week breaks in between episodes.
This Sunday it's gonna give the Halle Berry movie, Their Eyes Were Watching God (which I can't wait to see) so I'm assuming they're gonna return the following week with a fresh episode or wait a little longer. March 27th is Easter Sunday, so they'll probably be showing the Ten Commandments.
