It's already pitiful enough that KJ is dying, but it is disgraceful that an old member who hasn't contributed to the forum for ages would come back to incite trouble and use it as a sick entertainment for himself. Perhaps, when Maverikk's done here he can head down to his local children's hospital and get his kicks laughing at the parents of kids dying of cancer...

Obviously, by the running results of the poll, I'm not the only person who thinks it's long since been time to mail it in here and let everybody move on to a place where everybody doesn't attack people (as you just did to me, unprovoked). Don't hate on me because I brought up what myself and others think is a logical solution to the constant misery that is here. (despite the fact that I'm NOT HERE CAUSING IT!) Really, villianizing Mav is sooo 2006. The condition of the forums support that!

Well, I don't know what kind of job he did, but KJ was crashing long before the election ever came up. Torrino did something that led to loyal moving on (EDIT:Bad information, as loyal and torrino are colleagues at another site now), which does kind of remind me of what Krem did that caused me to end my time as a part of this community. I think torrino maybe didn't understand how bad it was here, so I don't blame him for saying fuck it when he realized.

To my eyes, the election looks like it was a desperation move because the forum was in a corner, clinging for it's very life. I wasn't around for any of that, but that's what it looks like on the surface.

I don't know why anybody would want to bother anymore. Seriously, isn't it more trouble than it's worth now to keep KJ going? The mainsite is dead, the administration is in turmoil, the community is poisoned with negative energy, and nobody has any solutions to fix it. Somewhere along the way there has to be a grownup decision made.

Loyal's departure had nothing to do with me. As has been mentioned in other threads, Loyal and I are working on another site.

My apologies. Like I said, I wasn't here to know what happened, but I just went by what I read here.

The problem is that there have been some big attempts (such as the election) to find this unknown solution.

But there isn't a solution. WOKJ has clearly been heading towards a crossroads over the past year, and it seems it started this summer and we're in the middle of it right now. There is no solution to bring back posters who left. There is no solution to fix the personal issues many posters are involved in. And there are no solutions to change the overall attitude/behavior of the forum. Most of this is centered around the Water Cooler also. But the WC makes up just 30% of forum activity.

If you keep trying to fix it, it's just going to keep falling apart. It's time to stop and see what happens next. There seems to now be a few different groups here. Group 1, the core posters who still find some enjoyment here. Group 2, the ones in search of another similar and familiar forum because there is disatisfaction for them. And Group 3, those who don't care or keep complaining.

So I think the best thing to do right now is simply, nothing. Just wait and see what happens over the next few days, weeks, or months and let the forum reshape itself.

We still have the best box office discussion anywhere, as far as I could see, and that's the main asset which will keep bringing people back, in addition to be bonds the old timers who started it all have formed.

And we have the best box office predictors, bar none.
