* Down from #8 last week to #22
* However, i think there's an error in the Weekend gross, because if Japan alone grossed $2.4m last weekend, how can it be only $1.9m total overseas including all other markets
* But i think the Total gross of $78m looks about right

COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~~~~~~~~The History of Musicals~~~~~~~~
In anticipation of the Oscars, we're going to look back at some past musicals and how they fared on this big night. You may recall me doing something similar last year with LOTR and the Fantasy genre.
ARGENTINA - February 17th (Thu)
Feb 3 - Lemony Snickets, Seed of Chucky, Mar Adentro, Finding Neverland
Feb 10 - Alexander, Million Dollar Baby, Birth
Feb 17 - Elektra, Phantom of the Opera
Feb 24 - The Aviator, Son of the Mask, Being Julia
Mar 3 - Wimbledon, A Very Long Engagement, les Choristes
Argentinian numbers normally match-up with Mexico, generally, so one shouldn't expect too much here for Phantom. Plus, Phantom will again be matching up against Elektra - a movie which it has been opening against in most Latin/South American markets so far.
Weekend:
Million Dollar Baby - $164,000 Finding Neverland - $145,000 Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason - $83,829 (41)
Weekly:
Moulin Rouge - $327,511 (35 TC)
Chicago - $267,080 (52 TC)
Closer - $202,622 (36 TC)
Don't expect more than a $100k opening,
CHILE - February 17th (Thu)
Moulin Rouge - $116,140 (18)
Chicago - $72,447 (16)
Shall We Dance? - $67,633 (22)*NY
Not much can be expected here as well, however, its quite surprising that Moulin Rouge still dominates these regions over Chicago..
CZECH REPUBLIC - February 17th (Thu)
Feb 3 - National Treasure, Team America
Feb 10 - The Aviator, Ray, Alfie, Flight of the Phoenix, A Very Long Engagement
Feb 17 - Blade 3, Pooh's Heffalump Movie, Phantom of the Opera
Feb 24 - Lemony Snickets
Mar 3 - Meet The Fockers, Finding Neverland, Racing Stripes, Million Dollar Baby
Phantom has a fight on its hands here, opening against Blade Trinity and Pooh's Heffalump Movie - 2 movies with huge opening potential.
Chicago did really well here back in 2003, opening with $80k, beating Catch Me If You Can, Independence Day, Lara Croft 2, Jurassic Park 2...etc.
Let's hope for an opening close to $100k
