Re: help me, KJ! Witness for the Prosecution was such a huge let down for me. It really did not have an intricate 'courtroom drama' plot, nor did Dietrich really do anything special. I was a bit surprised about how flat her performance was, actually.

If you haven't seen it and you like Hitchcock, it really is interesting to see his earlier works. This one is actually better *spoilers, so don't read unless you are fmailiar with plot because I am guessing you are* than a lot of his sort of 'twist' action movies. I actually liked it better than movies of his like North by Northwest. I also was not the biggest fan of Playtime. I saw it for the French Film Festival one f the years we did our annual KJ online FF Festivals. It was neat in how it looked for the first 1/4 and then it got kind of dull. The comic gags didn't work for me, either. It wasn't bad, I just got a bit bored.

Re: help me, KJ! Sadly, Touch Of Evil is the only one I've seen of those, fantastic movie. But Lolita is a Kubrick film so I don't see how you could possibly go wrong with that either.
